James had just arrived to Naffard. He was already frustrated. Duke was hard to work with, and Martin was being more sassier than usual. James decided to stop by at Naffard since he knew the two were busy with whatever job the fat controller gave them. James hoped it keep them occupied. As he stepped off his train, he noticed someone. James felt his heart sink. Duke was at Naffard. “But how? He was given a Thomas tons of work.” He thought to himself. But wait. Something was.. off. Duke had his hair down, he was wearing a washed red jacket, grey pants and dark grey army boots. Out of the ordinary for someone who loves walking around in high heels. James wasn’t sure who he was looking at in the first place. He decided to inspect a bit. James walked up behind the person. “Hey”. James said. The person didn’t budge. James frowned. Then he poked the person. The persons head perked up. Then the person turned around. The person had headphones in. That explained the first time. James waved. The person frowned and took the headphones off. “What do you want??” The person asked. James was surprised. That didn’t sound like Duke at all. “You don’t sound like Duke-” James sputtered. The person raised an eyebrow. But then as the person realized, the person let out a chuckle. “Duke and Martin haven’t said anything about me, have they?” The person asked. James nodded. “That’s pretty expected. Life can get crazy sometimes.” Then the person put a hand out. The hand had a black glove on it. “I’m Casey! I’m their sister” James was surprised. He didn’t know that they had another sister. At al. “You… you look so much like him-” James said. She laughed. “It’s called being a twin silly! That happens Yknow” Casey said. Then you could hear a train stop suddenly. James turned around. It was Duke. James then felt his heart drop. Duke looked out of his cab. “Sis! You’re here!” He said happily. He jumped out of his cab. He ran over and hugged Casey. “Heya Duke! It’s been awhile” James felt so confused. Duke and Martin never mentioned a “Casey”. He knew of Mina, but that was only when Martin randomly vented to him about her. But never since Martin or Duke has worked here, they failed to mention a Casey. “It sure has! Have you gotten yours yet or.” Duke asked. “Still waiting for it. That one guy said it should be here soon.” Then she looked at James. “You know this guy?” She asked. Duke turned to look at James. “Ooh James? He’s one of the main steamers here.” He said. She tilted her head. “Main? Does the boss pick favorites?” Duke shrugged. “You should see how he treats Thomas. The amount of times that steamer has gotten into trouble is amazing. I’m surprised that the boss hasn’t snapped and fired anyone yet.” Duke said. James frowned. “Excuse me! You’re just jealous that I’m the favorite! And who ever said it was Thomas?” James said angrily. Casey looked at Duke. “Oh yeah, forgot to mention that James has an ego.” Duke whispered. “I could tell- my god” she said with a bit of concern in her voice. James rolled his eyes. “Oh please. At least-” just then, another train stopped in. It was Martins diesel. James felt a lump in his chest. “Not another..” he thought to himself. “Casey?” He asked. He stepped out of his cab and walked over. “There’s the Marti!-” then she looked at Martin. “Jeez- you grew- last time I saw you, you were tiny!” She said as she playfully elbowed Martin’s arm. “Haha. Very funny.” He said. Then he looked at James. Then he sighed. “What’s going on over here?” James looked at the three. This is when he realized that now, there’s triple trouble.
