Amanda Todd is not the first person to kill themselves because they were bullied, and I don't think she deserves all this attention for it. It is definitely sad that she felt the need to take her own life, I'm not disputing that, I feel no one should kill themselves. That being said, in all reality her death won't change anything. Tomorrow you will probably still be bullied for whatever reason, and you will probably still bully (even if it's just jokingly). Also, did anyone ever think to mention the stories of the people who were depressed, abused, or bullied and SURVIVED it, instead of just the stories of those who died in whatever way? Aren't we just overall glorifying suicide by saying "Everyone will remember you on Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr by killing yourself"? Tomorrow someone who is a little bit different will still be bullied, bullying will still be overlooked until this happens again. Liking/retweeting/reblogging a photo will NOT save someone's life, treating them with respect, love, and kindness however, just might.
