Prester is hard to work with. He’s stubborn and frankly very cranky and secretive. With a partner i think it takes time and patience to crack him open and get him to be vulnerable. Not to mention this means that his secrets will be found out and he’ll become a bit of a clam.
BUT! I think once he opens up and feels safe with someone he can be very calm, collected, and rather romantic. Gentle touches, small conversations where he tells them what he admires about his partner. Large breakfasts of favorite foods and tea time together. Getting rather protective of them. I feel like without a good talking to, he’d be the jealous type lol. and even with a talk he’d still stare down other cogs
He’s funny and complex and so sos o so mentally ill. he needs to work on things and that’s ok.
is there any way to tell if prester is upset (i imagine he would block himself in his room trying to wait out his feelings) (i also imagine if you went in there to try to comfort him he would just break down)
I feel like he does hide himself away and roadblock attempts at trying to talk with him. He’s going to fester in his feelings as long as he can before he can will himself back out, and come out with a resounding anger. I think if you actually got him to sit and talk it out, you’re getting a lifetimes worth of unpacking. Every little thing that’s upset him will now be YOUR knowledge and you’ll get a soggy lil prester…. soggy and weepy. He does NOT let himself cry

1 hyper specific headcanon time now Prester is actively lying about his age to seem more mature and wise and respectable. He's actually significantly younger than he says is. He's got himself wrapped up in a web of lies and like a hypocrite, he hates when people start lying around him. He's a very funnny guy

my prester hc has RAPIDLY changed to him being a mish mash of different monsters but i do feel like this would affect his daily existence exponentially…
i think he’s stupid strong and uncoordinated and is sensitive to most things (light/sound/smell) so he tends keep things quiet + dark + specific scents he’s comfortable with so adding a new being to these factors is a hot mess at first
i do think he would absolutely be obsessed with things that smell like his partner after a certain point. he’s stealing clothes, little items and keeping them in a safe spot
he’s a freak . it’s fabulous
if prester was sick or exhausted and stressed and trying to work how would you get him away from his work to take care of him

Dragging him away on his chair. You have to physically drag him away from doing things, plop him down and tell him what he’s going to be doing to get better. No soft angle until he complies and rests, then he gets gentleness. i’m 1000% sure he despises being sick and tries working through it
