Trans snape week is going until June 30:) ! 

I didn’t participated in these 4 days yet, but decided to do a sketch for day 3.  The topic is body/dysphoria/scars. 

I was inspired by Egon Schiele’s drawings, I find it fascinating/interesting how he drew bodies. It started out as a study but I turned it into Severus :)

Hi, everyone! It’s day three of TransSnapeWeek2022! I hope you’re all working on some things- I’m very excited to see them.

I’d like to mention that this is my first time ever running something like this. I was supposed to have two other people helping out, but one couldn’t end up doing it, and the other kind of just ghosted, so I’m doing this on my own trying my best for my first time.

I’m not sure how it’s going as there are no entries yet, but obviously creating takes time.

That’s why I had got to thinking... is a week too short a period to ask creators to create things for TSW? Is it too much of a hurry and rush?

Do you all have any opinions on whether it might be better to have a Trans Snape *Month* instead of a short, quick, crammed week? Prompts could be updated less often than every day and I wonder if people might feel more comfortable having more time to create?

If you could all please give me some feedback and opinions on this, I’d love to hear it so I know what to do moving forward. I’m going to continue Trans Snape Week as it’s going, but I was thinking if I get enough feedback that Trans Snape Month would be better, I’ll arrange that in the future and go with that from now on.

If we go with the Trans Snape Month the options I was considering would be Nov. - Trans Day of Remembrance is in Nov. Or March because Trans Week of Visibility is in March. Or you know... both or something completely different could also be an option.

Today’s prompt is Community/support.

Maybe Severus finds an lgbt group in the Muggle world. Maybe he gets support from a Slytherin friend. Or maybe Severus starts an LGBTQ support group for students at Hogwarts. Or any other number of cool things you can think of!

Finding community and support can be hard, I know this first hand. I hope you can find a little bit of that here at TransSnapeWeek2022 and know that Snape would always support you too. :)

And as a note I have decided since this was my first time running it and there were hiccups or things I may have missed doing well, I am going to make a trans Snape month in the future to give people more time to create. It is tentatively going to be Nov. since Trans Day of Remembrance is in Nov.

I will update you all more on that as time goes along, so if you haven’t followed the blog yet, please do!

I am also considering changing it from Trans Snape Week to simply Trans Snape Appreciation so people can submit things all through the year and a couple times a year I would just run specific events for it, feature trans Snape fics/fic writers, and trans Snape artists, etc. People could post what trans Snape means to them. In a fandom where the original creator is who she is I think community and support is really important.

I’d love some opinions on this- would you all like that, or should I stick with just keeping it as a yearly event?

Hi everyone. It’s the last day of Trans Snape Week.

I apologize that this didn’t go as well as I had hoped. It was a learning curve on how to run this and I will do better in the future. I’m planning to turn this blog into simply Trans Snape Appreciation and I will run a trans Snape month in November which I will now have some experience to run in a better way. I’ll have the prompts up before hand so people have more time to do works for it. Keep an eye out and I’ll have more updates for the blog and what I plan to do with it as it progresses. I’m really happy to see how many people are following and I hope I can have more content for you all in the future.<3
