with every crash, the starless sea came closer to its doom. it was a race between time and fate, a challenge cast from the gods. the bees whizzed through the heaving hallways, their drones as silent as always. you stop at the inn for a moment of peace within this chaos, greeting the silver-toned woman with a smile. as you come in for an embrace, she leans close to your ear, using a tone mere shades louder than a whisper. “choose.”
