I love Mystic Pop Up Bar with my whole heart. I'm not ready for next week. Maybe we'll get a season 2 when Yook SungJae is discharged. Kang Yeo Rin needed more screentime and I hated that whenever we saw her interact with her friend, it was to talk about men. I would have loved if she were accidentally involved in a few of the "CIA" cases. Can you imagine the hijinks?

I discovered the Romance of Tiger and Rose. And I love it? The women don't make me cringe (yet)? The power struggles between women are about actual political power and not terrible love triangles (please don't change in the last half of the series) and we get to see the leads talk behind each others backs but it's just them chattering about how amazing the other one is and how others shouldn't tear them down, etc. The leads have chemistry? Anyway, I'm up to episode 10/24, so I'm praying to the cdrama gods that this doesn't let me down.

I've been rewatching the Secret Life of My Secretary and pretending that Do Min Ik saw through Jung Gal Hee's impersonation the whole time and it makes the drama so much better. Come rewatch it with me and delude yourself. It really amps up the UST of many of their scenes-especially when he sleeps over after "Veronica" breaks up with him.

The Secret Life of my Secretary

Wow I thought I was gonna get bored of this show real fast but I actually didn't skip through any parts and was always entertained (I’ve had a bad habit of skipping through dramas lately). The main couple had great chemistry and so did the side couple. Were there plot holes? yes. Were there parts where I was very annoyed? yes. BUT I still really liked this drama. For some reason it gave me this feeling of enjoyment I first had when i started watching Kdramas. I love Kdramas and sometimes I worry that I’m getting bored of them so when I come across a drama that makes me remember why I love them, it's great. I definitely think this will be a rewatch in the future where I just watch the cute scenes lol. Overall, this is a very non-scientific backed but cutesy and refreshing rom com.

King2Hearts

Alright, next time I think about watching a drama from 2012/2013, someone should turn to me and say “maybe rethink that.” Idk what it is but I think that era of dramas is not the era for me. I like 2015 and beyond, SUE ME. Anyways, I was craving an enemy to lovers drama and this is always the one recommended. Also I love me some Lee Seung Gi. So I thought, this checks all the boxes of what I want rn. However, something about this drama was just hard to watch. The amount of english speaking roles were cringe, I found the villain to be so over the top, and the north korean accents were really overdone in my opinion which made the female lead hard to listen to at times lol. And don't even get me started on a certain characters demise. I also have never seen a 20 episode drama that hasn't dragged and I did skip through a lot in the end just to finish it. So now that the negatives are out of the way: the positives. I did really like the star crossed romance, that the parents were actually non-toxic, and shi-kyung. Trust me, I wanted to love this drama but it just wasn't for me.

Rating: 5.5/10 I know this might piss a lot of people off but don't take it as me thinking the drama is terrible it's more my enjoyment and if I didn't skip through as much as I did, i probs would've liked it better so that's my fault.

Mystic Pop Up Bar

So I just finished the first episode so I can't say much but I will say I really enjoyed the first episode. I think it’s a very pretty show first off. I like all the characters already and it just fits exactly the type of show I want right now. I have only seen Hwang Jung Eum in Kill Me Heal Me and (this might ruffle some feathers) I hated her in that show. Her over the top acting really annoyed me lol so it's nice to see her in a role where I don't hate her. I’m excited to see where this trio will go in the coming episodes!
