Work has been very busy. Which is good for profit. Kailee has been doing some half days, since she is a new Mom still. More of a work load for me, but I love what I do.

I made myself breakfast this morning in my own kitchen. Nothing fancy. Just french toast. It was so quiet. I need to get a TV or radio set up so I can have noise.

A step forward. Two steps back. Or more like I stepped back years. I couldn’t believe my eyes today.

Joey. I thought I was seeing things at first. But the longer I stared at him from behind a potted plant like a weirdo, I knew it was him.

Thankfully, he didn’t see me. He was focused on bringing his dog in to be examined. Porter handled the examine, so I didn’t have to go in. Also thankfully, no one noticed me peeking inside the room through the barely open door.

Today was a little slow. But still it was better than nothing.

My very first patient was scared. I had to pet her and soothe her before I could examine her, poor baby. I had a few more patients before lunch and then after lunch, I got a surprise.

I started examining the cat and realized it was Xena. My eyes about popped out of my head.

“Uhh….” I said, confused.

“Oh yeah, you’re brother dropped off this cat and another black one. Said they’re yours?” Kailee asked, scratching her cheek and looking at a chart.

So much for making things less stressful for the two of them.

I’ve been having tension headaches. It’s been hard keeping Porter and Kailee satisfied with their jobs. It’s been busy enough, thankfully, but maybe I’m just not a good boss. It’s stressing me out because if I loose them I won’t be able to keep up with the work load by myself.

I picked up my old violin this evening and started playing. Unlike Yoga, playing the violin came back better to me. I’m trying to find things to relax me. I need to stop stressing out so much. The clinic is turning a profit, which is a good thing. I gave both Kailee and Porter raises, that seemed to make them a bit happier.

May 25

Kailee had her baby last night so I got to run the machines today. It’s then that I noticed how run down they look. I really need to buy new ones.

I woke up early for no reason. I do that once in a while. I decided to try out some yoga.

I haven’t done any in years. I’m really rusty at it. I really want to get back to doing it though. It does help relax you. Mom always swore by it.

I put my coffee machine to good use after my “yoga session” and morning bath. I have a feeling that coffee pot is going to be my BFF.

Speaking of best friends, Aubree popped in this morning! I was surprised to see her. She didn’t get to stay long, but we caught up a little and I gave her a tour of the house. It was really great to see her. She is working in the journalist career and doing well at it.
