#ts3 issues

My sim is now in China and I can't load this save anymore. I tried and I can load my test save but not my main one. I do have back up and last one is from before he traveled to China. But I would love to fix my issue because I don't want to lose all the progress he made in China (he got a magical axe on this trip so I don't want to lose it, what if I won't get this quest on another trip 😭).

China was very glitchy from the very beginning, it's a third trip there already. I constantly get error trap errors, sims are consonantly resetting for some reason. Here's an example, it's hard to see the numbers but I got 60(!) error messages when arriving in China for this third trip.

I tried searching but I can't find anything. I see other people complaining about constant errors in China but I didn't see a single solution for that.

Oh and yes I did Reset Everything with Master Controller in China, it didn't help even after reset I still get all these errors.

I guess my only solution now is to load my save that was before China and maybe try going again. But what if I will replay all these days and then again won't be able to load.

Oh and by not loading I mean that my game crashes to desktop on save load. These crashes also started recently but they also happen in Barnacle Bay not only in China. But maybe all of this is related somehow. And yes I do have a lot of mods and cc but that wasn't a problem before.

I also clean my save files with Regul Save Cleaner after each trip. But I assume all these crashes and errors are result of all these trips.

I got an idea to load my test save and send a sim to China to see if there also be so many errors.

Also I saw a post about hair default replacements glitch and there it said that you can delete world cache files to fix default replacements. I want to try deleting China world cache in hopes it will somehow help with my problem.

A metaphor for how my game has been for the past month. I finally figured out the problem last night which is good. I can't say the same for all the saves I've been hoarding for the past couple of months. They had to go as they were all corrupt.

Idk if anyone else is having an absolutely stressing and frustrating time with the the new Origin reeplacement process in favour of the EA app.

My game (TS3) was already a bit laggy and I though it was due to the cc and mods I have installed. Today, the Origin app basically obliged me to downloaf the EA app as a reeplacement, since Origin is not available for Windows anymore, and so I did.

It works awfully, in fact, it doesn't even work. The app will open a large, empty square with nothing on it, or simply it will open a non-existing window, like this:

This is beyond upsetting for me, TS3 is the only game I play and I invested a lot of time on a single family, 5 generations to be exact, and I had made some personal use cc.

Because of this, I extensively make use of collection files to sort my content, particularly the horror that is misc decor. However, certain Sims 3 Store content also comes with collection files. It’s not consistent (some of them are clothes collection folders, ffs, which is literally useless).

I’ve tried so many things to get rid of/disable them.

Deleting them. (They come back next game)

Moving the order so they’re at the bottom of the list. (Nope)

Making the folder read only. (Added back as soon as the game launches.)

Folder read only and hidden. (Same as above.)

So, fun fact about the real reason I had to have Don change careers - bc I know it might have seemed pretty sudden in the storyline

Basically, I got this super weird glitch where he was on call at the hospital 24/7, his shifts were never-ending, he only had time to come home and take a nap and then he was back at the hospital again!

So when I say that he didn’t have enough time to spend with his family, I mean that very very literally, he barely had time to eat and sleep - It was ridiculous. Every single night he was on call, and in my time playing TS3 I know that it was definitely not normal for him to be working that much

I’ve played with doctors before, and I’ve never had a sim be on call literally almost every hour that they’re not at work.

^ Him going to work for about the 10th night in a row being on call at 2am??

I tried everything to get rid of this glitch, moving to a fresh copy of the town, changing out the rabbit-hole hospital, resetting everything in the town, resetting don several times, but nothing would work for me. I think something was wrong with the sim himself, that career just got corrupted for him I guess.

So eventually I just had him become a teacher, that’s the reason it was so sudden, I had enough of trying to solve it and I gave up

Joran’s face has been bugging me for quite a while now. He’s not supposed to have pink cheeks and lips. It ends up looking like clown makeup when it shows up like that. I remember a time, when I wasn’t having this problem, but I’m not sure what changed.

He only looks like that in-game. As you can see, the middle photo where he’s in CAS, there’s not a hint of pink anywhere.

I went into CAS with him last week to attempt to fix it, with mixed results.
