#ts2 rant

so awhile back i accidentally corrupted my external hdd, and would've lost everything on there--my neighborhoods, my cc, everything i've ever made for ts2--if it wasn't for wondershare recoverit. today was the first time in a long while that i've actually loaded up the game and played with some of the neighborhoods that i recovered, my 'more than a pleasantview' being the latest. and, uh...

wtf??

in the first pic, that is ricky, joe, and ivy carr, who are... apparently now the entire ass town of pleasantview. idk how THAT happened?? but in the second pic, that is bella's house barely visible in the background. i added her back into the town as an evil witch and then moved ghost michael bachelor in with her. they live in the old caliente condo. dina and nina have LONG been gone in this playthrough. why tf are they suddenly back here??

as you can see, they've kept their makeovers, same as the house, but their age bars and other sim description info are messed up. they're pretty much the same nina and dina as when you start the original pleasantview.

my first thought was that maybe the game had overwritten the neighborhood.package with the original pleasantview somehow. but then i checked and realised that's not possible, because i use @thedudewiththedragontattoos' genetically correct pleasantview, which has the naming DTPT. pleasantview should be N001.

Then again don't get a really good graphics card bc all your favourite games won't be running with a good graphics card

then again just keep your old pc which was actually able to run your favourite game.

Nah.

I can't just have nice and smooth running versions of this game on my laptop
