I need some help.
These images are some inspiration pieces for my current build project. Sadly I haven't been able to find any CC I could use to represent them or cobble together something to look like them.
This is where I need your help Tumblr Simmies, if you know of any CC like this (or bits and pieces I can put together with the move object cheat) or are one of the many incredible creative types who make custom content for the game who might consider making some of these things, please drop me a line. The Gas Pumps (lettering in simlish of course) and the LP tank are my main priorities, but the still and some whisky barrels would be really cool too. My many thanks in advance.
Have fun :)!
City Center Build Part Three: Starbucks Interior
Warning: This installment is probably a little bit snarkier than usual simply because like Brody I refuse to go to Starbucks and drink their coffee, and I most certainly wouldn't go there for their scones that can double as a street hockey puck. In fact, about the only thing I can stomach that has the Starbucks logo on it is their Carmel Frappacino that comes in chilled little 10oz bottles at my local convenience store. And before you ask:
Q: Gosh Sim Doughnut if you hate Starbucks so much, why did you include one in your build?
A: Because there isn't a city in America with a population of over 10K that doesn't have a Starbucks on nearly every street corner. That, and some nice young lady went to a lot of trouble to make all this really cool Starbucks paraphernalia and I want to show it off for all the people that do like Starbucks and might want to use it.
So now that that is all out of the way, let's talk about this build. There are essentially two people responsible for the CC I used in this build, The first is Megan aka ~Serial Simmer~ who did a really bang up job creating all this wonderful Starbucks kit, including aprons and shirts you can dress your sims up in. When I inquired with Megan about Starbucks cups and bags of coffee beans (because I am all about the clutter) she said she had intended to get around to that but she's been feeling under the weather. So if you're reading this be a sweetheart and go send her a note telling her you hope she's feeling better.
The second person I have to thank for this part of the build is Budgie2Budgie who provided the lovely coffee window sticker. Yeah, I know it's not a Starbucks logo but it gets job done. Budgie also made the simlish Visa/MasterCard window sticker that has become a staple in all of my commercial builds.
And that's really about all there is to this part of the build. I mean we've all seen a Starbucks at some point in our life, so we all know what they look like. To be honest, once Get To Work comes out and the baking profession opens up I plan on gutting this part of the build and retrofitting it into a Java with Joe Bag of Doughnut's Donut Shop. As much as love coffee, I am all about those doughnuts!
Next up: Blue Duckie Laundromat Interior
Have fun :)
The Stackable Washer/Dryer
budgie2budgie answered: Maybe it was murilala’s picture you saw? The washing machine is here and there are recolors out there:http://melinssimsworld.blogspot.se/2015/02/simple-laundry-room-detergents.html
Thanks for the link. I actually have that set and am currently using it. The picture I saw wasn't that one though. Someone has made a laundromat with multi-colored stacked washer/dryers, and I didn't think to check if there was a link for the content. As I said I can't find it again. It was the stacking that most intrigued me.
Thanks for being helpful, it's really appreciated. I went ahead and cobbled together a laundromat with the stuff I have. Of course I don't have any super cool laundromat window or wall stickers to put in it. Hint Hint :)
On a side note, I did find something in my libraries that makes a pretty good oven for "Brick Fired" Pizza. I'll post some pics of it at some point later today.
Have fun :)!
