After some research of the places we are going, I thought I would share some of the interesting information I found. 

First off, Pucon.  In Pucon, the time difference is four hours ahead to where I live in mountain time.  Its main attraction is the “Valcon” the volcano.” This city of Pucon sits right outside of the Lake District, and has many fresh hot springs. The city of Pucon is 482 miles squared, and filled with tons of things to do. 

Cachagua, is the second location we will stay.. In Cachagua (which is a beach town) the ocean water there is very cold from an arctic current.  That is why Penguins live on an island near by, Some people compare it to Santa Cruz CA. Also, in Cachagua its very popular for its creative architecture sourrounding all the beaches. The beaches and architecture are the main turist attractions. 

After finding out a few things about the towns I and my family will be living in for a month each, I thought I should find some general information about the country Chile itself.

In Chile, they are famous for their sea food, chocolate, and all of their wine. Chile itself, is the 9th largest producer of wine in the world. They are a world class wine destination, as well as having many chocolate factories. 

Chile is also known quite well for having the longest coast line in the world.  They have the worlds biggest swimming pool, which holds 66 million gallons of fresh clear seawater.  I also discovered that the oldest mummy in the world was found in Chile.
