When Drago first heard about the Jade Palace and, in extension, the Hall of Warriors, he knew he had to pay this place a ‘visit’. Even if he had a few doubts. One: he had no idea how many ‘kungfu masters’ were potentially hiding in this place (even though he never doubted his own strength, he did like it more if he could just get in and out.) Two: Everything he heard was actually just rumors, and rumors are often untrue. This means that he could just be wasting his time completely.

Now that he was there, it was clear that at least one of his concerns existed for no reason. The rumors turned out to be true. The Jade Palace existed, but he has yet seen the hall of warriors. Which, of course, was the most important part, the main reason he wanted to see this Jade Palace in the first place. Since he couldn’t have the demon chi (all thanks to some noisy mortals), he had to try and get his greedy claws on some other powerful objects.

Unfortunately for him, he just had to come across this little pest. He was once told that looks could be deceiving, and this old little red panda proved that to be true. when Drago first saw him, he assumed a couple of hits would take him right out, but, nope! The panda didn’t go down easy. Of course, in the end, would a mere little panda really be able to take down an actual fire demon?

( selective stupidity is honestly one of the funnest traits to write a muse with. i did that all the time with discord, and it always amused me. )

✍ : Offer 3-5 tips on how to get other role players started on interacting with your muse.

1. Don’t be afraid to disrespect  or degrade him, but at the same time please remember and respect that he’s more than just ‘Funny bird gets beat up and eaten a lot’

2. For human characters, maybe a pre-established relationship or established ‘intellient animals’ universe might work best. The ‘Wow talking animal!’ thing can only go so far

✔ : What drew you to the character you currently play? What types of characters are you generally drawn to?

I don’t know what it was but I just really latched onto Zazu as a kid. He was a small bird in a world of big carnivores that knew a lot about animals and had to rely on his intelligence to keep himself alive. He didn’t like to have fun and got pushed around by the other kids though they really did like him. He had a funny accent, a superiority complex, and happened to be very brightly coloured, flamboyant, and close friends with a more imposing male character…Actually maybe I do know what it was

I’m generally drawn to the same archetype: ‘Overbearing uptight brainiac guardian/best friend’ (Bagheera, Sebastian, Lisa Simpson). Mostly my favourites are side-characters but my favourite protagonists are the standard ‘underdogs’ that don’t fit in with their hypermasculine society and have to find their own way to express themselves (Tarzan, Po, Hiccup). Gee I wonder why…

Also violent big cat villains (Shere Khan, Sabor, Tai Lung)

☯ : Greatest challenge to writing your character?

 Lack of screentime. I can guess and self-insert but I don’t really know what makes Zazu ‘tick’. There’s also a danger of making him too cold and annoying to the point where he’s not a likeable character, but at the same time, he can never be too emotional or overtly friendly seeing as that’s just not in his character.

✘ : Any head canons you’d like to imply on you character but know they wouldn’t fit?
