First fanfic of the year! And it's Trunrod (because you all totally followed me to see my OC x canon content!). Ummm they're being little lesbians here (mainly Conrod, Trunnion's busy hating on the patriarchy). I'm still unsure about the tags so let me know if I missed anything...

I've also started thinking about throwing Conrod into the Medieval AU somewhere. Originally I thought of adding her to the knights, but I don't think that'll work because she's not and has never been a mekhanite. Instead, I was thinking that maybe she's a travelling bard that got forced out of her hometown due to a natural disaster or something. She travelled to the kingdom to start her life over, and it's while she's singing in an inn that she catches Trunnion's eye, and they become friends.

When Conrod was younger she very quickly discovered that she hated makeup due to its texture. Even though her dads were understanding of this and didn't try and force her to use any, she was still outcasted by other girls at the time. So she started using only the absolute bare minimum to try and not be pushed out even more (though she still did and liked other "ungirly" things so it didn't really help). She thought she was entirely alone in feeling this way UNTIL she met Trunnion who also hates makeup for the EXACT SAME REASON. (And also liked a lot of the same "ungirly" stuff that she did.) This is one of many reasons Conrod started latching onto Trunnion so hard ESPECIALLY after her forced standardization.

Conrod was destined to be a robotfucker human but alas.
