How I Approach 5e Character Sheets
I’ve had some fun making requested character sheets on stream/Youtube and felt the need to explain how I approach them. There’s no 1 right way to make a D&D character, and I only hope something here provides insight to your game.
This book is pretty much The Giver. And I'm *way* less angry about that than I thought I'd be.
Basically everyone is blind, which fosters unity and community and all.
Then a 13 year old boy all of a sudden starts to see, and and the dysfunction of the community comes into view (get it), and all.
The thing is, it's pretty good. The characters are pretty compelling - they could definitely be more fleshed out, but they're intriguing.
The plot is exactly what you'd think it is, but tropes are tropes for a reason. There are enough little flourishes and details to give the plot a bit of individuality.
So yes, I am happy I read it - except that I actually do want to read the rest of the trilogy, and I'm not willing to drop more than a couple dollars on it. Guess I'll hope for continued luck at the Little Free Library.
