Yo my friend, stopping by to ask what is it about Athena Cykes that you love? I'm curious because I keep thinking of you when it comes to certain peeps and Athena is another one like ilu you're super awesome okay lol <3

As for why I like Athena so much, itās really a lot of things, so narrowing it down can be a bit tricky! However, Iād say the most prominent one is how much I relate to her and how much of myself I see in her.
idk, I guess Iāve just never found another character thatās so spot on similar in terms of personality and struggles and...well, everything really. She can be both outgoing, energetic, and funny, as well as quiet, withdrawn, and sullen. Her passion is overwhelming-- once she gets going, the volume gets cranked up and she wonāt stop for anything. She obvs has similar disabilities to mine too--something I connected to right off the bat. You donāt see that kind of uh, sound sensitivity and emotional reactions and stuff Ā in much media.....sheās coded a very particular way that I can firmly look at and say āsame!ā And it doesnāt feel stereotyped or condescending!Ā
Itās little things too! Like her clumsiness and quick temper, or her love of technology and robots. Her moon motif is also super super super appealing to me! Especially since in connects back to her mom! I also lost my mom far too young, and I relate to the way she struggles with that! (My Athena cosplay actually uses my momās old headphones as the cord for widget!)
The struggle to prove yourself when everyone is older is also something I can identify with! Especially since people like us are so emotional and loud and intense, we can get written off as childish and stuff!! And we act without thinking, which leads to both terrible and excellent results in equal measure, lol
.......Sometimes I feel like the only thing I donāt have of hers is athletic skill....hahhaha. But even then, I relate to the reason she pushed herself to exercise and such!! So the root is the same!
Basically, I could go on all day about it. I just see myself so completely in Athena, and it feels really nice to connect to a character that much. It feels like every time she speaks Iām goingĀ āSAME!!!!!!!!!!!ā at my 3DS screen!!! Itās just really special and exciting and.....beyond words, really. :ā)
