The first pic doesn't capture the shininess of the paint. This was my first time binding a fanfic or anything really and I made a lot of mistakes, but I learned a lot. The fic is a hicsqueak fic by @troiings and I've read it many times, it's sooooo good and in so glad they were cool with me binding it. Sorry it took so long, I took many breaks lol. Shout to @renegadepublishing and their discord server, everyone was super helpful and knowledgeable.

Rive/r12 Twister AU with @mygalfriday! 

He looks so much older. His hair gone grey, lines around his mouth and eyes, expression permanently in a scowl.  He seems paler, somehow, thinner, still strong but without the manic energy she took such delight in wringing out of him. His movements are smoother now, less clumsy, his clothes darker and eyes shadowed. He looks like a sullen rock star instead of a mad professor, and when her eyes fall to the hollow of his throat, she has to look away. 

It was stupid to hope he’d keep any remnant of them. 

It starts with an email.

Serena almost deletes it, some sixth sense making her click through what she assumes to be spam. Instead of another sale offer, she’s confronted with the words that will change her life.

Bernie Wolfe is still alive

That single email sets her on a twisting path of lies and conspiracy, all leading back to the place she thought she lost Bernie forever - Mogadishu. 

Now enlisted as a civilian contractor to the RAMC, Serena heads to Somalia, determined to find the love of her life, and to bring her home.
