a random thought: This show usually cheers me up — it’s just fun, and the characters are great!

Most Epic Villain: Madeline Wuntch (the way Holt just loses it when it comes to her 😂)

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): I honestly can’t think of anything off the top of my head? I was really worried about Charles/Rosa early on, but they fixed that so?

Favourite Friendship: Rosa & Jake, Rosa & Holt, Jake & Holt, Gina & Jake, Rosa & Amy, ... I could keep going — so many good ones, I can’t choose, but most of them involve Rosa or Jake

Character I most identify with: Mostly Rosa, a little Amy

     How I feel about this characterHonestly she’s just such a wonderful character? She had such amazing development and definitely one of the best parts (and best surprises) of the show. I’m so happy they took the time to develop such a wonderful character and not stick with the jealous ex-wife trope? She’s just wonderful I love her

     All the people I ship romantically with this characterHmm, both Janes, and I think that’s it? She didn’t have that many healthy relationships. Oh! Also, I know it’s really unpopular but I really liked Chuck actually and her with him!

     My non-romantic OTP for this characterJane V, definitely. They’re just so wonderful and have come so far. I love seeing strong female friendships and seeing women supporting women and these two were! oof, wonderful.     My unpopular opinion about this characterI don’t...really have one? I liked her from the very beginning, though, and I don’t know if many people did. Also, I wish she’d gone bak to be called Petra Andel after her divorce? Idk, the Solano thing always bugged me, especially since making herself and the Marbella without any help from anyone is such a big part of her character arc? 

     One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.I definitely wished we’d seen her part of the Villanueva family more. All the characters we learnt to love were assimilated to the family somehow (Raf, Michael, Lina, etc.) but... not Petra? I would have loved to see her bond more with Xo, Alba, and Matteo especially!

When I started shipping them:  I started watching DW in 2011 when I first got BBC America. “The Time of Angels” was the first episode I ever saw and it had River in it. And I loved her and Eleven and Amy so much that I immediately went back and watched from s1! I already loved the dynamic between River and Eleven after that one episode, and my love for them only grew as I watched more!

My thoughts: I think they’re always going to be in my top 5 ships. They’re one of the few ships I think about often, even if River’s been gone for a while. Their story is just so beautiful and so sad. 😭Most of my first mutuals on this site were from the River/Doctor fandom, so lots of good memories associated with this ship!

What makes me happy about them: I love that River completely throws the Doctor off. He’s used to being able to show off and is the one to know everything, but suddenly here’s this woman who knows more than he does. He love/hates it! And especially with Eleven, his face as he tries to figure her out is the best! But then we get to THoRS and it’s River who’s completely in the dark not knowing the man next to her is her husband. The look on her face when he says, “Hello, Sweetie.” and she figures out that it’s the Doctor and that he absolutely does love her! 😭

What makes me sad about them: The Library! 😭It also makes me sad that she doesn’t think the Doctor loves her the same way that she loves him in THoRS, though she obviously figures out that’s not true shortly after!

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: I've only ever read fanfic from people I followed that wrote it, and theirs was always lovely! I can’t remember anything specifically bothering me. In general with fic, just bad characterization, whether it’s the main characters or side characters they interact with, annoys me though!

Things I look for in fanfic: Just fun adventures and interactions with Amy and Rory!

My wishlist: I mean, if there were a way to get River out of the Library for real, that would be amazing. But her story had multiple nice resolutions, so I’ve kind of accepted her ending by now and wouldn’t want anything to happen just to happen, I guess. I just hope they had lots of nice adventures between the first night on Darillium and the Library 😭

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: The Doctor is always going to have the TARDIS, and she’ll make sure they’re not alone. As for River, maybe Benny? Just give River a girlfriend already, we know she’s had wives
