Some of the Simplist team rocked (Nick is already signed up for a half ironman!) the triathlon...but much more importantly we raised more than $30,000 as a part of the Camp Interactive fundraising team!
So then we threw a party. A #whiskeyTriday (special edition of #whiskeyFriday) that some of our favorite people attended! And then after a bunch of tasty drinks sponsored by our host Building on Bond, the next day I was feeling myself (and a distinct need for water).
So I went full rapper:
And finally, even our puppy wanted in on the action and threw down the gauntlet: Next year he intends not just to coach me through the triathlon season...he intends to compete and raise money for Camp Interactive.
Thanks Camp Interactive for making a difference and giving us a chance to help more kids see that they too are builders.
If you're curious how me and Nick raised all of our money so quickly, drop me a line (hint: Simplist special targeting features all the way). if you're curious why Biscuit is so damn cute, I have no idea.
Yogpets headcanon: Pups with the shock element (or pups relating to anything with electricity) can't take baths in water, in fact it's extremely harmful for them, (like water doesn't get along with electricity).
Yogpets Pt. 2.... continued
“So, uh Tripup.. if that’s not your name…well, what I’m saying is, do you mind if I call you Nimbus?" I carefully asked. After all, this little creature seemed to understand me. It issued a squeak in response and jumped up and down excitedly. Suddenly, my fruit basket caught Nimbus's eye. He hopped toward it with a squelching sound, all while squealing excitedly and at a high pitch, almost like Om Nom in Cut the Rope. He jumped in the basket, and attacked the lemons lying in it. "Oh no what're you doing!!?" I asked in a confused tone. But Nimbus didn't hear me. He was too busy sucking the juice out of the lemon with almost vampire-like fangs, then proceeding to eat it all. I just stood there, confused, too dumbfounded to speak, trying to wrench him off the lemons. Suddenly, a light clicked on in my head. "Of course! Nimbus's favorite food must be lemons!" How could I not realise that! So I picked Nimbus up, the lemon still attached, and placed him on the counter, then put the other lemons next to him. Now he could he could get his nourishment while I could actually observe. When Nimbus was done with all the lemons, he closed his eyes, and fell sideways onto the counter with a plop, his antenna curled in. "Oh dear, who's a sleepy fellow!" I said quietly. Nimbus started quietly snoring, (well it was more of a purr) and so I picked him up and quietly carried him upstairs. There, I placed him on a pillow of mine in my bed, then closed the door. I then realised, this was probably going to be more work than expected.
