i see ingo getting parentally attached to rei/akari, they both came to hisui through unnatural means, their both kindof outsiders for it, your dialogue options kindof imply they have memory issues as well, and they can battle like a champ. plus they keep on bopping alpha pokemon in the face with mud, and this child might die without supervision
plus: consider emmets perspective, your brother disappears for like, a couple years, im gonna say like 5 at most for the sake of this example, and comes back with an entire ass 15 year old, whose fought gods and won
I REALLY LIKE THAT IDEA.. especially since Ingo would definitely feel lonely without someone to call family, even if he doesn't realize it. He would slowly start considering Rei something of a son, or an idiot little brother and they'd probably become pretty inseparable with time.
So WHAT IF, once he manages to return and get back to the groove of things he introduces his newly adopted kid to his brother (whos hesitant at first, of course) and soon enough
