1. What teachings from your parents still affect you to this day? Do you wish that they didn’t?

“She who birthed me taught me many things,” Yna says fondly, “I can hardly remember her lessons now, but do I remember she taught me to be passionate and that it is always better to love. I am grateful despite the pressure it places upon me.”

2. Who is the person who has made the greatest impact (good OR bad) on you, and who you are today?

“A woman who’s name is a mystery and whose face I shall never forget. I had never watched a living soul become a corpse before her.”

3. If you could do anything, without strings or consequences attached, what would you do?

“... I would give in to the urges that burn beneath my skin.” Yna sighs. “I would show them all my truest form and bathe cities in my flames just to watch them burn.”

4. A genie gives you three wishes. What would you wish for?

“If I wasn’t aware that any being capable of granting wishes is probably dangerous, I would wish to age

“Second, I would wish for my home back

“and, lastly, I would wish for a river than ran with sweet wine.” 

5. When you go to pack for something—whether it be as simple as tucking items in your pocket for a normal day, or an overnight trip—what are three or so items that you couldn’t live without?

“There aren’t many things that come to mind, truthfully. I keep a knife for my protection and my amulet to keep myself under control. Sometimes, I keep dice in my coin purse in case I get the chance to play.”

6. Is there someone in your life you can’t live without? Who are they, and what is your relationship like?

“While there is no specific someone I cannot live without, I know that I could never live a life alone. As long as there is, someone, I can find a way to be pleased with that.” 

7. What do you think your childhood self would think of you now? How is your life different from what you pictured then?

“I do not remember my youth well, but I am sure I would not believe the woman I am today. I recall believing that I would be as powerful as she who birthed me, thinking I could reach the clouds just as she did.”

8. How do you feel about where you are now? About the person you are now? What, if anything, would you change about yourself?

“Hm, I feel... content? I am not unfortunate by any stretch of the word, and I am revered as a god. I can, with pride, proclaim that I am a kind and compassionate woman. But, there are times that I envy the power that she who birthed me wielded with such ease and there are times where I wished I could be as free as she once was.”

9. What do you do to de-stress, and take your mind off of things?

“I dance.” Yna smiles. “I dance until sweat rolls down my neck and the soles of my feet are hot. I jump, and writhe, and flail until I have no energy left to worry over anything else.”

10. What is the most ridiculous thing that you can recall doing? Do you remember why you did it?

“Dove from a mountain before my wings had fully come in. Maybe because I thought I could force it if I panicked enough or maybe because I adored when she who birthed me would swoop down to catch me.

“Or, challenging an orc to a drinking contest. It seemed like a great idea and my pride would not allow me to back down when I came to the realization that it was, in fact, not.”

11. If someone were to record what was happening to you, the story of your life, how would you want to be portrayed?

“I would want to be portrayed as beautiful and compassionate, fun-loving, strong, or poetic and insightful. Anything but a god.”

12. What is your ideal future life like? When all is said & done, what does peace look like to you?

“My peace would be spreading my wings and soaring higher than any man could ever reach, being loved by someone who sees more than what I allow, and true friends who don’t see me as a god.”

1. Who was your childhood best friend? Do you keep in contact with them?

“I had two childhood friends when I was younger. One of them died when Mynera was attacked. The other... we only recently reconnected.” Alinora frowns. “And to be honest, I’m not sure if we’ll stay in contact or not. It really depends on the outcome of this war.” 

2. What’s your least favourite season? Why?

“I grew up in a very mild climate. Both summer and winter’s extreme temperatures are... odd. To me. But I think I hate being hot more than I hate being cold.” 

3. Have you ever been banned from a place? Where? What did you do?

“No. Although there are a couple I should have been,” she says with the hint of a smile. “Especially when I worked as an assassin.” 

4. If you had the opportunity to ask one question to somebody that had died, what would you ask?

“I would ask my fiancee or my mother if they could ever forgive me.” 

5. What was your dream as a child? What would you have given anything to become or do, no matter how unrealistic?

“I really wanted to be a ranger,” she says with a laugh. “To protect people from Eldora’s most dangerous wildlife.” She shakes her head. 

6. Would you travel overseas? Where would you want to go? Can you imagine living there, or would you prefer only to visit?

“On Eldora, we only really have one continent. Though there are a few islands. I would love to visit the World Tree’s island. And, I’ll probably have to before the end of this.” 

7. What’s the most embarrassing you’ve ever done? Was it recent or a long time ago?

“Oh probably the time I accidentally shot a [visiting noble/dignitary] during my archery lessons. That was mortifying.” 

8. Who would you say is your best and worst influence?

“Growing up, Liera was my best influence. Rivana was my worst. Once I left, though, and joined the Swans... Ellis was probably my worst influence, while Rolfe was my best.” 

9. Where is your favourite place? Why do you like it?

“Home. It’s a place that doesn’t exist anymore, even if the buildings still stand. It was a place of safety. A place of childhood memories. A place where very little hurt. A place I belonged.” 

10. Where do you see yourself in fifteen years?

“I don’t know, honestly. Dead, most likely. I’m not sure I’ll survive the battle with Kai’os. But if I do, then it will be as Mynera’s monarch. Not that I’m sure that’s a good fit for me anymore.” 

11. If you could erase one person from existence, who would it be?

“Kai’os. Or perhaps Fate.”

12. How do you think other people perceive you? Does it reflect your true personality?

“I believe people perceive me as an irritable, often rude woman with a chip on her shoulder. I’ve done what I can to cultivate that kind of personality. People don’t want to get close to you that way.” She ignores the latter question completely.

1) What teachings from your parents still affect you to this day? Do you wish they didn’t?

“To work hard, think outside the box, to not let others define your worth, that kinda stuff. But they also told me to watch my mouth... Don’t really listen to that one,”

2) Who is the person who made the greatest impact (good OR bad) on you, and who you are today?

“A lot of people have done that for me, but I’d have to say Haze, Autumn’s younger sibling. Before I met Autumn online, I had never in my life met someone who was nonbinary. I’d heard and known about it, but never met one, at least not knowingly. Haze is a pain in the ass, and they really should look into getting an attitude reboot, but I respect them a lot, and I’ve learned a lot from them. You cant tell them I said that though, they’d never let me live it down,”

3) If you could do anything, without strings or consequences attached, what would you do?

“Either eat everything I could or permanently move from Aqueduct to somewhere else, without having to worry about my family or their business,” 

4) A genie gives you three wishes. What would you wish for?

“To be able to speak my mind without others being offended, to make my eyes violet again, it looked awesome, aaaannnddd....Being able to cook, so I never run out of delicious food to eat? I dunno, smt weird that’s probably a waste of wishes,”

5) When you go and pack for something- whether it be as simple as tucking items in your pocket for a normal day, or an overnight trip- what are three or so items that you couldn’t live without?

“My maps, because you’ll never know when you’ll need ‘em, a tuna sandwich because it’s delicious, and a notebook with my sketches,”

6) Is there someone in your life you can’t live without? Who are they, and what is your relationship like?

“My parents and their boyfriend, and my older sister. Odette is amazing, and I miss her a lot while she’s studying in Callis, but she calls every week and sends me a lot of texts every other day. She wants to be an astrophysicist and go to the moon colonies, especially the one on Eos. Our mom and dad would rather have that she stayed home and helped with their research of the flora and fauna in the Aqueduct, but they support her either way. Their boyfriend Dante is just a fisherman, but he’s really kind and loves my family like his own. I feel a little bad for wanting to leave them all behind to go see the world and figure out what caused most of it to turn into a wasteland, but I think they’ll be proud to know, that I’m not just leaving to leave like most young people do out here, but that I actually want to leave to learn about our world, and what has happened to it,”

7) What do you think your childhood self would think of you now? How is your life different from what you pictured then?

“I know more than I did as a child, I’m more sure of myself, and I definitely want to leave more than I did as a child. As a child, I really wanted to just stay with my family always, I didn’t want things to change. The thought that things would someday be different was pretty scary, and I would often flat-out deny it. But now I really like change, I like when things take unexpected turns. The only thing that I 100% still have from my childhood, is that I still really easily get bored,”

8) How do you feel about where you are now? About the person, you are now? What, if anything, would you change about yourself?

“I’m pretty content with where I am in life, though I’m still only seventeen, so I still have a lot of living and growing to do. Something I would like to work on would be to not be so impulsive, it would be pretty helpful in a lot of situations if I could just slow down for a second before I took action,”

9) What do you do to de-stress, and take your mind off of things?

“I paint or work. Painting helps me to get a lot of unwanted feelings out of the way, and working helps me to ignore my problems and focus on something else. Both relaxes my mind,”

10) What is the most ridiculous thing that you recall doing? Do you remember why you did it?

“I tried to fish for the Trident, a giant fish that no one has been able to catch. I didn’t catch it, but I almost got killed when I caught another pretty big fish, way too strong for a seven-year-old kid. I think I wanted to prove, that my parents didn’t need to date a fisherman, because they already had me. I didn’t like the thought of our family growing, but I came around eventually,”

11) If someone were to record what was happening to you, the story of your life, how would you want to be portrayed?

“I dunno, I want them to record me as I am? Was. I just don’t want that the version of me that people will remember, to be a lie,”

12) What is your ideal future like? When all is said and done, what does peace look like to you?

“It looks like me, remembering back to some travel I’ve been on with my friends, discovering new ways to see the world, before I go back home to my family, to tell them about. It would be having the world in front of me, and still going back home after I ran out to meet it,”

1) What teachings from your parents still affect you to this day? Do you wish they didn’t?

“Never met my mom, my dad was never the parental-kind of a father, so I never really learned anything fro them. But I guess Lady Marlowee counts, though most of her teachings flew right over my head. But one thing that did stick, was to plan things out, to not just do thins impulsively. I’m both grateful for that and pissed about it too. It feels like a restricting cage, but sometimes that’s what I need,”

2) Who is the person who made the greatest impact (good OR bad) on you, and who you are today?

“Rose and Castor are two other hellhounds that live on the run, and I really don’t know them all that well. But they made a huge impact on me that one time I met them. It had never occurred to me that I could live outside of a safety zone like the one Lady Marlowee had created,”

3) If you could do anything, without strings or consequences attached, what would you do?

“Okay, here’s the thing: It doesn’t matter what I would do, because there are consequences for your actions in real life, and you can’t just do things anyway, ignoring all the red flags, letting yourself believe that everything bad will work itself out. That’s not how it works, because if it did, I would have gone to the Underworld long ago, and brought my brother with me!”

4) A genie gives you three wishes. What would you wish for?

“When a genie gives you a wish, you have to be pretty careful about what you wish for. It’s not just jins who are tricky. Though genie’s do have your best intentions at heart when they grant a wish, they too have to obey the laws of magic: Nothing comes out of nothing. So I just stay away from wish-granting all together,”

5) When you go and pack for something- whether it be as simple as tucking items in your pocket for a normal day, or an overnight trip- what are three or so items that you couldn’t live without?

“Kay makes some amazing cinnamon buns, so I would have to take those with me. And probably a picture I took in the 50′s, with Tala and Phyrra. The last thing would depend on the situation,”

6) Is there someone in your life you can’t live without? Who are they, and what is your relationship like?

“My brother, but I already live without him, and I obviously survived it,”

7) What do you think your childhood self would think of you now? How is your life different from what you pictured then?

“I don’t know. I was so young and lost and hopeless, and now I’m here, in the Upperworld, and trying to have a life. I honestly think, she would have dismissed me as a dream. Nice, but not real,”

8) How do you feel about where you are now? About the person, you are now? What, if anything, would you change about yourself?

“I’m stronger and smarter than I was as a kid, and better than when I thought everything would be fine. I’ve survived this far, and sometimes I can even appreciate it, have moments of joy, which is more than I had back then,”

9) What do you do to de-stress, and take your mind off of things?

“Smoke something. It’s not like the smoke will kill me, I grew up in literal Hell. Tala used to say, that I should get a hobby, like her obsession with crystals. But nothing ever really sticks...”

10) What is the most ridiculous thing that you recall doing? Do you remember why you did it?

“Stupid things don’t really happen to me, just bad things if anything. But after I met Tala, stupid things became the norm, because they seemed to follow her everywhere, and I just got dragged with her into it, way to often to name anything specific. But it was always because Tala didn’t know when to stop anything,”

11) If someone were to record what was happening to you, the story of your life, how would you want to be portrayed?

“Why would anyone do that? My story is not interesting, I’m not the first hellhound to leave the Underworld, I’m not even the first to leave without their sibling. The things that happened to me afterward with Elaine and how everything went to hell, it had nothing to do with me. I was the side-character, who had to live with the consequences, and I am,”

12) What is your ideal future like? When all is said and done, what does peace look like to you?

“Peace and quiet, I guess. It is pretty peaceful right now, have been for a while, and I really just want it to continue on like that,”
