Upsilon took her time getting up the mountain, taking breaks and divvying out food for herself and Shy, making sure the smaller girl ate as much as she could. She drank her hot chocolate and made sure Shy enjoyed her decaf coffee. They were close to where Upsilon was told the destination was, and that was where she gave Shy a heads up.
“We’re about fifteen minutes away from the landing, just so you know, be ready to hop off and walk around a bit okay?” She spoke through her little radio device, which sounded clear like a phone call.
She made sure that her sister felt safe on the back of the bike, knowing that she’d be nervous if she went too fast. Upsilon knew she could cut the time in half but she wanted Shy to feel safer than to be fast.
