Python: Writing my first sentences
From the basic concepts, the language is quickly ramping up. I’ve struggled a lot with the first few chapters slowly going through the exercises. It’s not that the information is hard. Its the process of taking the theory and concepts in each chapter and applying them in sentences.
If you think of python as just another language like English, then it’s similar to understanding grammar but not being able to craft sentences as good as someone like Mark Twain. I would compare myself right now to a child barely able to scrape together a coherent sentence that makes sense. In this case, the python interpreter is the person trying to understand your sentences(code).
I have found that learning the theory and concepts behind code is not too difficult. Its the various and small discrepancies in syntax that throw me off. One small mistake can throw off an entire program. I’ve constantly heard that programming in the beginning stages is difficult as you begin to wrap your head around the sentence structure. Hopefully this will be true for me.
