You’re my best friend Trinka.
We ended up having to put down my dachshund this morning. She’s been in so much pain, yelping and having mini seizures. She could barely stand up and she hasnt eaten anything for the last two days so my mom decided it was time. I couldnt see her yelping in pain anymore. After 17 years of being my best friend, puppy, and sister, it was her time. I held her as the injection peacefully took her away and cried while holding on for dear life. She was the last big/great part of my childhood I had left and now shes gone forever. I’m beyond grateful that I was able to cuddle her in the bed for a few hours of sleep and I was there for her by her side for many hours before and after her seizure she had.
17 years is a long time to live for a dachshund and you made everyday you were here great in my eyes.
As long as she’s not in pain anymore I guess I can sleep okay tonight, but these are going to be some very sad days for me not seeing her in her cage, having to return her dog stuff. So thankful to have my mom and Chris with me.

This post is inspired by the almost conclusion of the Bachelorette. I was watching a bit of it and I remembered how cute and funny this fanfic was and I had to share! It's a great portrayal of Ginny, a character whom we don't really give enough credit to. Sure she ends up marrying Harry and she's Ron's little sister and she's a loyal friend, but the focus of the Harry Potter books never really focuses on her. The fic Reality takes place in the magical world, but our famous characters didn't go to Hogwarts together. Ginny Weasley finds herself as a contestant on a wizarding version of the reality TV show the Bachelor. And guess who the lucky bachelor is? That's right, it's Harry Potter, the boy-who-lived. This is a hilarious and sweet Harry/Ginny fanfic.
