Fun with stumps in the dark at Trinity Lake. These three very large stumps were visible out the back of our camp site and were clearly giant trees before the lake was flooded....

On Sunday we were all so pooped we decided to just take a nice, easy ride to Trinity Lake to swim. Except Sam, who took the GS north to Happy Camp and rode through a forest fire!
So this dirt road went down to a small beach. Tyler and Vlad got their bikes down it, but Aaron and I just left our bikes at the top and walked down. Tyler, Aaron and I swam out to the rocky island in the middle of the lake! It was... intense haha. I’m not much of a swimmer anymore.
