Dusk - They’re in the same club, and Trey has to bribe him with cookies so he will not cause more explosions (Dusk doesn’t do it to cause destruction, he just likes the colors and sounds)

Domino - Deuce’s brother, so Trey helps somewhat. This is probably the most chill one (Until Deuce breaks)

Kit - Trey doesn’t deal too much with Kit, more the effects of her actions. She messes a lot with Ace and Deuce and this often ends with the two getting in trouble.

Dekker - POOR TREY! He gets so much undeserved hate because Dekker is petty and jealous. Dekker has tried to manipulate situations to undercut Trey and will continue to try again and again for most of the school year. It’s only near the end when he finally stops.

Ruse - Again POOR TREY! He has to constantly deal with the Rosehearts’ constant bickering and arguing. He also has to help with Ruse’s blatant trauma. It’s like herding cats. And the second he looks away, something starts up again. Including Ruse picking fights with Malleus.

Trinity - Another poor Trey, but this one kind of just breaks him. For once it’s his sibling :D. Trinity is obviously traumatized by something he doesn’t know where to begin with and doesn’t seem to care if he interacts with her at all. Not to mention he thought she was probably dead.

Malynne - Shes not horrible to deal with, but Trey often has to get between her and Riddle. Malynne can be obsessive over her control on a situation and mother hens everyone which Trey just had to face he was wrong to do with Riddle.

Skion - Another that Trey doesnt fully deal with, but he definitely does more than with Kit because Skion actively teams up with Ace and Deuce to cause chaos. And he also has to deal with Riddle being even more pissed with Idia since Skion is a Shroud.

And since I can’t stop making ocs, there maybe more. Plus Jamil is slowly being dragged into second place too with all the characters he’s dealing with. (I can make a poor Jamil list too if anyone is curious)

* Note - For my ocs, they don’t share a canon with any of the others (unless stated otherwise), so Trey isn’t dealing with this all at once. Though I do like to put them together for non canon stuff

How are my character and their partners as parents?

(Out of the ones that have partners and would have kids.)

Kit and Kalim - Honestly, kinda hard to say. I know they would at least try their d**ned hardest to be good parents, but the Asim name is not one to be taken lightly. Kit and Kalim would both be dealing with attempts on them too, especially Kit as a “street rat”. They’d do everything they could for their kid, therapy for the kid is probably something they’d honestly start with as soon as possible tbh. They’d definitely always be there for them and be better than Kalim’s parents and definitely better than Kit’s parents, either set. But power comes with hardship. The kid knows they’re loved and would have a good support system at least.

Toryn and Vil - Pretty good, all things considered. They keep their kid out of their spotlights until they’re old enough to truly know what fame does. They are a bit strict, but that’s because other family spoils the kids as much as possible and they’re fine with 20 new stuffed animals for their birthday, they don’t need 20 more. They’d also highly encourage creativity and would easily bounce it back since they are creatives themselves. They’d even try to use it to encourage thinking, like solving plot holes to think about the whole story and lessons on being critical of media and transforming it. And while Vil is probably the stricter parent in general, Toryn definitely has a backbone and in certain scenarios, Vil might fold first (puppy dog eyes).

Dekker and Azul - Good parents but oh no. I think I’ve mentioned this before, but they have a single daughter and she is the best thing in the world. They understand she isn’t perfect, make mistakes, and has to own up to wrong doings, but she’s still the best thing in their lives. Like half of the messages to their family and friends after she was born was like “she breathed” with 100 pictures of her. They learn to slightly chill, but their daughter never questions they’re in her corner, even if that means sometimes they have to correct her or show her she was in the wrong and should apologize. Luckily family and friends help, so she has extra help being grounded to reality. She is still pretty spoiled, but more in the “I forget I’m rich and not everyone has this” way and not the “I’m better than you” way. (I can see family members specifically giving her knowledge on struggles of poverty just to make absolute sure she’s not too out of touch, though her dads wouldn’t go that far.)

Malynne and Rook - They’re good parents, but which kid? Their kids are vastly different so how they act for each one is different, even if they’re still good parents. Like their first kid got Rook’s tenacity and Malynne’s fire and is just nonstop. Their second on got Rook’s patience and eye. She’s chill and doesn’t move or speak much unless she wants something. They’re so different it almost gave them whiplash. Malynne and Rook both tend to gear their route towards each child, but in general like to teach their kids about the beauty of the world and emotion. But they also teach their kids the world isn’t always pretty and you have to watch for it. They also use the knowledge of the past to make sure none of their kids are treated as Malynne was in her childhood. They won’t be taken by surprise again, and they are watching the court like a hawk, even holding things over the court, to turn the tables of power. Basically saying if anything happens to our kids, you lose everything, even more than just status. Malefica, Lilia, and Malleus or in on it too.

Idia and Suna - I can see them not wanting kids or Suna wanting one after a bit and Idia being neutral, but I do think they’d end up with one due to being Shrouds and the UM passing down (unless tech). Idia would probably be pretty anxious. He loves his kid, and doesn’t want anything like what happened to him and Ortho to happen again, he also feels guilty for the family curse, even if he tries his best to make sure the kid doesn’t feel bad. He’d probably also try his best to keep the kid away from being known as the heir to STYX until they’re older and understand better. Idia’s also probably very fun, with big engaging games. Suna would be a shockingly good dad. He knows how to take charge and take care of people and he will, he also loves his kid and, while he’s not perfect, he’s good at getting on their level to talk (patients need that sometimes). He would do his best to make sure his kid feels seen for who they are and not just their role. He would also make it a certainty that their kid gets time outside regularly and has friends, even if they can visit or know about STYX. They wouldn’t be perfect, the kid lives in STYX, but they’re better than what they had.

Trinity and Sebek - For these two, idk if they’d have a kid. I can see them either not having one or having one by accident and deciding to go through it. I wouldn’t say they aren’t good parents, but depending on who their child is, there might be unmet needs. If their kid is like them, they’d probably be pretty good. If their kid isn’t like them or need more an emotional and imaginative space, they’d probably might struggle. They’d try, they’d definitely try, to be there for any kid they had. Trinity would be more healed from her trauma and try her best to reach out and Sebek would try his best to think through his child’s perspective and be calmer and more understanding, though it’s still their personal struggles. They’d both definitely teach the kid practical skills so the kid knows how to do basic chores and cook in age safe ways very early on. But despite their flaws, both of their families would definitely come in to help, so it’s not all doom and gloom for a kid who doesn’t match them, even if there might be some distance.

Jace and Epel - I can see their want for kids going either way, likely ending up opposite of Ori and Jade. But if they do have a kid, woo it’s a chaotic house. It will heavily lean into Epel’s energy, especially since Jace adopted it as part of how he healed. They’d both have their kid’s back, though Jace might be the more emotionally intune one. Jace would also probably teach their kid what dissociation and disconnecting from reality is like and how painful it can be when you mind tries to use it when you can’t physically escape, and also teach their kid sometimes it’s okay to look at the darker parts, so long as you treat it with respect. Epel and Jace probably wouldn’t force their kid into a loving a physical life, but they would still probably have more games for outside than inside. The kid would also probably have some knowledge in fashion, from what Jace knows or Crewel himself. They also likely end up living on the farm, so Epel’s family is there to help.

Ori and Jade - I can see them liking the idea of a kid, but it’s also possible they wouldn’t. Probably the opposite of Jace and Epel. They’d probably be a calm household, and Jade would probably teach their kid intelligence and get the kid to love things like puzzles. He’d also probably try to get the kid to come on hikes with him and look at the wonderful mushrooms. Ori would probably be an emotional parent, but I can see him struggling with keeping his own toxic positivity in check and let himself feel sad, though he’d try his best to never let his kid fall down that path. Ori might honestly over correct and heavily teaching the kid it was okay to feel all their emotion might turn into rants and lectures the kid might tune out. Ori would also likely encourage creativity in their kid. They would likely live close to Crewel, so he’d be there. Jade’s family would also probably help a lot too.

10. Most Likeable

You’re pretty much right, most of them suck to be around. They’ve each got trauma that they don’t want to confront and now it’s everyone else’s problem.

Though, they kind of are in groups on how they react to others. Likable depends on what traits you value and how much you think of a first impression. Likely also how much you interact with them too.

Some of them are jaded and snappy - Dusk, Kit, Ruse, Suna

This group are the hardest to outright get along with, but they know what they want and aren’t afraid of that.

That’s not to say they’re not liars (Kit is and Ruse isn’t lying but he is dealing with stuff), but they won’t shun away from standing up for or being friends with anyone who gets through their defenses.

This group is also shockingly thoughtful. Once you earn their trust, they don’t take it lightly.

What you see is what you get with them.

Some aren’t snappy, but jaded and keep to themselves - Domino, Trinity, Jay, and Noir

This group is easy to exist with. They won’t bug you if you don’t bug them.

But it’s also extremely hard to get to know them, their true thoughts and feelings are under lock and key. They also aren’t talkative unless you’ve broken through a few masks.

They aren’t mean, but they aren’t friendly. They won’t trust anyone around them and will just sit in the corner.

Some will outright interact with others, but most I’m this group have an end goal - Toryn*, Dekker, Malynne, and Skion

This group might seem the most likable. Bubbly, outgoing, and friendly. But it won’t be hard to catch a bad vibe from most of them.

They aren’t friendly for other’s sakes, it’s for themselves. Their form of self preservation is to be liked by as many people as possible.

None of them are malicious, and some think they’re doing the right thing, but they’re covering their fears with how they act.

Once you break through their masks, a lot of them are incredibly different people. They’ve just hidden their true for so long.

This group is also kinda varied due to their reasons/goals, so might need more on it, but they aren’t evil or malicious, but they are far from honest.

And there are definitely some outliers - Canis and Ori (Can I count Teddy here?)

Canis - I’m timeline one, he’s not really traumatized. He’s in NRC, so not the nicest person around, but I imagine he’s somewhere between Ace and Ortho. And in timeline two, he’s hyperactive three, so however likable a three year old is.

Ori - He just doesn’t think much about the people around him. He’s nice and “cheerful”, but heavily dissociated. He’s lost a lot in his mind where everything is perfect and nothing goes wrong and everything has a reason. He’s kind of lost contact with reality. (For example, he doesn’t think to learn names, because due to trauma he doesn’t think of others as permanent, so he calls people by traits. Like Epel, the one he despises, is purple hair.)

Dusk:

Dusk is rambunctious, always good for an adventure, but he is very much a pacifist and has a heart of gold. He adores his dad and loves Malleus and Silver and Sebek deeply and openly as they’re all his little brothers, tho now he’s more used to Sebek treating him like “Lilia Vanrouge’s son” and accepts it even if he still doesn’t like it. He’s almost always has a smile on his face, tho needs to learn to think before he acts. He still doesn’t mess with his brothers.

Dusk gets a bit sad tbh. He’s not jealous because he doesn’t think he deserves that type of life, the happiness that comes with it.

Stayed!Dusk is horrified that theres a version of him that’s so violent and angry. He’s honestly worried what happened.

Canis:

This is just timeline one for Canis lol.

1 and 2 Canis kinda meet in dreams. It’s like half canon. But 2!Canis and Grim are scared of the 1!Timeline them while 1!Canis and Grim just have bittersweet feelings, sad they got roped up in this but hope their future is better

Kit:

Kit, for one would have stayed sweet (Fellow makes sure of that), but she’s slightly manipulative in the way she gets food and stuff. She hides it behind sweetness because she knows Fellow doesn’t want her to do anything bad and she looks up to Fellow too much to go against him. So she doesn’t steal, she uses sweet words and social conventions. She’s also still very protective of Gidel. She’s probably far more cuddly too.

Kit is kinda pissed. It’s clear that she doesn’t get a good home life anywhere yet at the same time she’s jealous since at least stayed home Kit gets Fellow and Gidel and her memories.

S!Kit is kind of confused. But to a degree she understands. She knows a lot more than Fellow thinks she does, so she knows without Fellow, she’d have fallen to how cruel the world is. She doesn’t pity Kit, she just wants them both to have better tomorrows, but in the most bitter “the world screwed us so I wish we get rest” way.

Toryn:

Toryn does a complete 180. He commands attention very easily and smoothly. He’s very sly and the only reason he is following Azul instead of doing Azul’s job is because he thinks Azul is funny. He spent all his life having his little brothers mess with him, so he’s used to dealing with chaos and tends to be a level head, yet he always seems to come out of the chaos better than he went in. Tho he also despises anyone messing with his brothers or the funny octopus. To his face he says it’s their issue, but behind closed doors he’s not afraid to use threats. He probably doesn’t care much for art or think too much about Vil (at first) beyond the fact Vil has power and sway he wants.

Toryn is kinda scared of his stayed version. He doesn’t like how manipulative he gets. He thinks that the stayed him has taken standing up for what he wants too far and thinks nothing if people beyond power. Which is true to a degree, not entirely, but not baseless.

S!Toryn thinks Toryn is pathetic. He can do anything, even just say no. He thinks it’s interesting, but also takes it as a hit to his pride that they’re supposed to be the same person. He thinks Toryn has nothing to him in his head besides being a tool for others. Again not baseless, but not true either.

Dekker:

Dekker not disappearing is part of his dream. He’s extremely emotional and pretty shy. He leans on his siblings a lot because he’s never really had friends. He is still a gremlin to them tho.

Dekker plays it off, but he is *insanely* jealous. S!Dekker gets to stay emotional, his feelings are protected. Sure, family doesn’t always get along, but S!Dekker had someone. All he got were harpies who openly wanted to ditch him and River who loved him, but never understood.

S!Dekker is honestly scared. He doesn’t get good vibes and Dekker uses bubbly energy that, while reminds S!Dekker of Cater, is too much. He’s also just sad to know theres a version of him without family, the only ones he’s ever known.

Ruse:

Ruse would have come out very similar to Riddle, just quieter and shyer. He is just as rule bound as Riddle but takes action and has short words instead of Riddle’s rants. He’s still also quick to anger and can yell. He and Riddle still bicker, but now it’s understated since they constantly got in trouble for it and now are scared to do anything more than whisper and stop talking to each other (meaning stuff is never resolved and gets built up). But they have no friends other than each other and kind of Trey and Chenya

Ruse has a bitter jealousy, not at S!Ruse, but the world. He deep down just wants to be normal, and while S!Ruse isn’t, he’s closer than Ruse is. Tho he’s a bit upset that he doesn’t get the happy life he wants.

S!Ruse is so confused. What do you mean he becomes a religious prophet and the head of an entire religion, living in the capital of a religious state and signing laws and making decrees before the age of 12?! That’s sounds insane!! He doesn’t know what to think. He is grateful to have the life he has now tho, even if it’s not good. Knowing anything more about Ruse’s past probably makes him sick.

Trinity:

Trinity is a hyper chatterbox who’s thoughts never stay still. The person who’s got a new hobby every day? That’s her. And ofc, she’s good at baking. She is also insanely dense.

Trinity is just numb. She doesn’t see a point in being jealous, that won’t fix it. Being sad doesn’t change anything. Luck gave her what she had and S!Trinity something different. Should she be happy that the other was luckier?

S!Trinity is shocked and horrified. Trinity has battle scars everywhere and looks as hollow as she feels. S!Trinity feels so sorry. And she suddenly wants to see her family.

Malynne:

Malynne learns to hide in the shadows and watch over ppl, especially Malleus. She ends up sort of making herself into his servant (the court definitely had a hand in this). Malleus doesnt like it, but she doesn’t see any other way.

Malynne is alarmed that S!Malynne became so compliant and so just willing to follow Malleus. Tho she can’t blame S!Malynne since she also priorities others above herself. She also feels sad that S!Malynne was kept trapped her whole life.

S!Malynne is a bit jealous that Malynne got to escape the court. She knows that Malynne was cut from family and feels bad about that, but the jealousy burns brighter. She does see Malynne taking care of others obsessively as “correct” tho.

Skion:

Skion just depends a lot. He could die with ortho. He could have seen ortho die and become a shell of himself, close in personality to Idia except Skion doesnt talk much or like playing with others at all. If he just didn’t go but his brothers did, he’s insanely clingy to Idia and robot ortho. He panics the second he’s doesn’t know where they are. If no one went, he’s just sweet and a good guy, of hyper and playful and trying too hard to make new friends.

Skion is too many timelines to even say

Suna:

Suna, idk. I don’t think he’d change much. He might go more into sports than medicine tho. He’d be very close to Leona tho.

Suna doesn’t change much other than medical trauma and the stuff with Elias, so they just hate the other version, since below their sense of grandiosity, they hate themselves.

Ori and Jay:

Ori and Jay become little divas. They end up quite like Crewel. They do have a habit of thinking to highly of themselves and putting too much into appearance. (Crewel tries to teach them clothes mater but aren’t everything, but the still haven’t gotten it.)

Ori tries to make friend, but underneath, he’s jealous (he has a big issue with jealousy). He wants that life. A perfectly happy home life with their dad and having a bunch of money and handmade luxury clothes. He probably starts going into his derealization/whatever the state is to get away from the bad feelings.

S!Ori is scared. That’s too much death. S!Ori is a bit more stuck up than S!Jay and this just throws him for a loop. He panics. That’s supposed to be him and Ori isn’t connected to reality at all, spending life around gruesome gore and digging graves.

Jay is also jealous. Less enraged “that should be me” like Ori and more “why didn’t we get that”? He hides a lot of it, better than Ori. He knows more of reality than Ori does, so this just fills him with dispair on how bad the world is.

S!Jay is also confused and scared. But he’s also just sad for Jay. Their life sounds miserable and sickening. Tho he’s also put into a panic because Jay is the gruesome one and S!Jay can’t handle it.

Noir:

Noir becomes a begrudging star who pushes everyone away, even Vil and Eric, and just accepts sitting alone in his spotlight, thinking nothing can ever change.

Noir feels like he is better off tbh. Even with the paranoia he constantly deals with. He just hated the spotlight *that much*. Not to mention no one listening to him not wanting it. And S!Noir just gave up (probably still goes by Ansel too, which Noir doesn’t care about, but it’s just something to think on).

S!Noir probably hates how he didn’t think to run away/his plan didn’t work. He’s angry and jealous and hates being in the lights, he wants privacy. But he’s also defeatist and has given up. He thinks any chance is over, and that makes him angrier.

When did they fall in love and when did they realize it?:

Domino - Fell in love with Silver instantly. At first it was a puppy love thing like with Kalim and Jamil, but since Domino hung out with Malleus, he interacted a lot with Silver and his love for Silver turned deepe because of how they clicked. He didn’t realize it until Silver confessed.

Silver - There isn’t exactly one point he fell in love, he just did over almost a year of growing closer and closer. He realized when he overheard a debate by Lilia and Malleus over which last name they should use.

Kit - There were a few major points, but some of them boiled down to Kalim being nice to someone and then just turning around and showing he didn’t expect anything in return and others boiled down to him genuinely thinking about how he can give gifts to those he likes, not thinking of money or what he can get in return, he just thought of what they liked. She was aware of her feelings from the start, just tried to squash them until she couldn’t.

Kalim - He thought Kit was pretty the moment he saw her, but then they started playing Mancala together. Kalim win, but somehow he realized she wasn’t being honest (don’t ask me how he noticed, it freaked out Jamil too), so he asked her to try again, but actually try. And she did, she was honest and they talked through the game and was more honest with the conversation too. (She was still hiding, but she didn’t lie.) She beat Kalim over and over, yet Kalim kept asking for a rematch. Eventually she said it was getting sad so pointed out where he was failing. That whole game is where he fell in love. He knew instantly, but Jamil warned him against her, so he held back until there was a confession. He couldn’t say no, so he accepted.

Toryn - Over the first month or so of getting to know Vil, and just seeing Vil stand up for him, be confident, and didn’t hesitate to honestly correct Toryn. Also he thought Vil was pretty too. He didn’t realize until he was forced to by his family and friends and then Vil kissed him and outright said it.

Vil - Again, over the first month or so of meeting Toryn. But it was because he got to see Toryn was genuinely kind, but smart. Toryn wasn’t too stupid to know what was going on, but he still wanted to help. And when they talked Toryn showed he just felt so deeply and wanted everyone to be happy, even at risk of himself, but that last bit infuriated him as much as it made him love Toryn more. He also thought Toryn was cute and funny. Again, he realized when confronted by their friends, but only actually realized when Toryn there’s the napkins.

Dekker - Started falling in love after the frustration died down and he could see more of Azul instead of an obstacle. It was a small crush at first but grew as Azul actually started to be caring towards him. He didn’t recognize it until he was forced to when he realized the twins were trying to get them together.

Azul - After the frustration of Dekker being an obstacle died down is when he started falling in love. When he saw Dekker for who he was. It grew as they started spending more time working closer, even if they still fought. He realized when Dekker cried to him after Dekker’s fight with Cater then falling asleep in his arms.

Trinity - She slowly started to fall in love through the full year. Not one specific point. She only realized when Sebek confessed.

Sebek - Fell in love within the first month or so. He was able to find someone who listened, not wrote him off as annoying and ignored him, and brought him down to being a peer, even thought she is human. He realized it about halfway through the year, but was in denial until close to the end of the year.

Malynne - When they first met and Rook calmed her down. She fell deeper for every subsequent interaction. She realized when Rook was helping her calm down from a panic attack and being extremely gentle and loving (somewhere around mid book four).

Rook - He thought she was interesting immediately. After about a week or so of more interactions, he actually fell. He took a day or two to mull it over before realizing.

Who confessed?:

Domino/Silver - Silver did. Got Domino alone in a romantic moment after he was sure Domino felt the same way.

Kit/Kalim - Kit did. She was hanging out with Kalim and Kalim was being super sweet while they were alone together and she almost stared crying being torn between her love and trying to deny it. Kalim asked what’s wrong and she admitted it.

Toryn/Vil - They were both set up, so kind of neither. But Vil was the one who kissed Toryn and actually said the words while Toryn responded.

Dekker/Azul - Another set up, but only by the twins this time. Azul was the one to actually say the words with Dekker responding.

Trinity/Sebek - Sebek did. He couldn’t deny it any longer and it would be wrong to lie to Trinity and say he didn’t feel this way. At first Trinity, scared of getting close and losing him, said it wouldn’t work. Sebek asked why and she said because it would only hurt when something bad happened, but Sebek told her that’s part of the point and why you keep getting back up. True happiness can only come if you know sadness. She accepted then, even if it was a bit cheesy.

Malynne/Rook - Malynne said the works, but Rook knew the whole time and just wanted her to be sure and not push her too fast.

Trinity: *speaking short and quick* Glad to be here.

Sebek: You were the last one here. You should be more respectful after that display, not curt. You should be more respectful in general. You are assigned to Diasomnia, Dorm headed by the Malleus Draconia and Lilia Vanrouge.

Lilia: Thank you Sebek, but I promise it’s fine.

Sebek: Ah! Yes Sir!

Trinity: *trying to hold back a laugh*

Disappearing Children: Trey

Trey got the easiest child to take care of. A sweet and helpful little thing, and he gets to spend, however long this is, without having to deal with any Vice Housewarden duties. All he has to do is keep her entertained and listen to her talk.

And that’s ignoring the fact he got his sister back the way she was.

He should be happy, right?

So why can’t he be?

He can certainly smile at her when he needs to, he’s got enough practice with that, but it’s far from actually being happy. For as much as he shouldn’t, he wants to send her to Diasomnia for the entirety of this.

While he knows everyone else was silent because they were horrified at the suggestion the Headmaster made to send the children to their dorms instead of let them stay with their family, Trey was silent because he wanted to find a way to make it possible. But they’re not the only ones who went through pain, Trinity did too. She went through years of pain alone that Trey doesn’t even know of because whatever it was made her so guarded that she barely talks to anyone.

The only one she does talk to is Sebek, and he’s in Diasomnia.

But that’s not like that has a difference here. She’s not guarded. She’s not silent. She’s not traumatized. She got her little reset button until their professor makes a reverse.

She knows Trey, not Sebek.

She would want to stay with Trey, not Sebek.

Sebek probably wouldn’t even know anything about her like this.

Trey knows she’s happy, so why can’t he just be too? Why does he have to be petty and stick in the past while there’s his little sister in front of him that needs his care? Why is all he can offer a fake smile?

Honestly, I didn’t see where to go with Trey until I got the idea. Did not expect it to actually work.

Next is the Diamond brothers, which I saved for last because I actually knew what to do with Cater and I wanted to make sure this didn’t go out with a whimper. (Now I just have to write it well to ensure it doesn’t.)
