Not sure if this was pointed out already or if this matters to anyone, but the chinese character spelling for the city of July (and the reason for why there's an alternative romanization 'JuLai', to highlight to the fact they made the city an asian-cyberpunk metropolis in Tristamp) is 儒來.
The spelling seems to be purely phonetic (for pronounciation purposes only) and isn't supposed to mean anything, but the characters used for it are:
儒 (Jyu)- confucianism and 來 (Lai) - next, to become, to approach or arrive
