I need to make something clear. If you like Melanie's music, it's perfectly fine. Don't go attacking someone for like her music. That's not the problem.

The problem is the person herself... what did she do? For those who don't know, Melanie Martinez's (once) best friend claimed that she been raped by Melanie. Now in my opinion, it's too early to say if this is true or not. But if it's true that she raped her, that is unforgettable and she deserves to go to prison.

But please, PLEASE, don't attack people who like her music. Personally, I am a person who separate the artist from the art. For example, I like some of R Kelly's songs but R Kelly as a person disgust me.

So seeing people telling others to fuck off just because they like Melanie's music is childish to me. Especially when these are claims at this moment, so we don't know if this is true or not. Now I'm not saying she couldn't have rape someone, anyone can really.

What I'm saying that people shouldn't witch hunt people who like her music. Or even HER at all. Witch hunting only leads into disasters and may the problem worse.

They use you to bully someone else. Disgusting

And I don’t know! Anyone! Involved! I’ve only been palpably back onsite for a few months! Why the fuck would they go “Oh, hey, you are a total stranger, I’m going to task you with mmmmmmP/DOPHILIA that shouldn’t fuck with you at all”?

I’m doing a little better after a runthrough of Sweeney Todd (the 2005 revival, I am Georg Sondheim and that is okay), but aside from being generally harsh to even consider, it takes me back to a really bad time period in my life. Multiple really bad time periods in my life. I don’t know why I have to say this, but it is not okay to just hit people up with “Hi, you don’t know me and I don’t know you, but please consider sexual abuse very seriously right now”, like, ever, much less for a personal vendetta.
