Alyona opens the door, really suspicious. Rodion tries to act nonchalant but kind of shoves himself inside the room by making sure she can't close the door and then inviting himself in. He tells her he's here to give her the silver cigarette case he promised to get earlier. Little does she know it's literally just a piece of wood disguised as one. She's rather displeased and when she turns to the dim light to try and unravel this "cigarette case", Rodion gets the axe he hid in his coat ready. When she turns back to him, he strikes her upon the head with the blunt side of the axe. This, ultimately does not kill her right away and he has to hit her a few more times until she dies. He quickly searches her pocket for the keys, trying to beat the blood quickly pouring out. He also cuts a purse off of Alyona's body. He's shaky to say the least, trying and failing to pick the right key. He gets it open eventually and begins to steal lots of things she collected over time. Issue is, her sister comes back. He hears her discover Alyona's body and he knows he has no choice but to face her. He gets up, runs back into the room with the body and watches as Lizaveta backs into a corner in horror. She barely defends herself before Rodion swings the sharp side of the axe into her head. Presumably instant death. Well, hell, now he has 2 bodies. He has blood on his hands and before he knows it, 2 people have come up the stairs! He closes the door, opting to only put on the latch and not lock the door. He hides behind the door as the 2 people, one man and one young child complain about how she's not opening her door. The child realizes that the door only has the latch on because the door moves slightly when pushed. Rodion is ready to kill whoever enters the room. Thankfully, they both leave to get more people because they figured something is wrong if both of them (Alyona and Lizaveta) haven't answered the door but are obviously home. Rodion takes this as a chance to run, fleeting down the stairs. Lord is it a close call as people are coming up the stairs and he's coming down. The room that painters were in earlier is now empty so he quickly hides in there as people climb the steps. Once they pass, he goes and makes his way to the kitchen to wash the blood off of his hands and the axe. Once all clean, he has to return the axe to where it was once before. Concerned that porter would find him and ask why he had the axe...turns out the porter wasn't home and he returned the axe. He makes his way to his flat and lays down. He cannot sleep.
