A modern teen romcom dark comedy take on Frankenstien "Lisa Frankenstein" was released on February 9, 2024. The film was the directorial debut of Zelda Williams (daughter of Robin Williams). The film was supposedly set in the same cinematic universe as Jennifer's Body. The main events in the film took place in 1989. Much of the original blood and violence and drug references in fhe film were toned down when it was decided to switch from being an R Rated film to a more audience accessible PG-13 ("Lisa Frankenstein", Movie Event)
