in your ansxig parenting au, I assume riku is still friends with sora and kairi... have ansem and xigbar met them before? how did it go?
yeah he is! hes a useless bi, and eventually at school he ends up getting distracted by sora and kairi and his grades start slipping a little. as the resident gifted child, this of course sets of specifically ansem’s Hardass Parent alarm bells and after a bit of helicopter parenting discovers that his precious golden goose child has a crush...
xigbar knows better than to try and keep a kid from pursuing love (haha LOVE like some sort of DORK) and sora and kairi are reluctantly invited over to dinner. they're literally radiating light. riku is in awe. ansem is hissing. kairi’s got an attitude on her that causes her to start digging into the Obvious Supervillain vibes riku’s parents are giving off (”so they’re totally hiding some sort of superweapon under this house”/”kairi, stop!”/[xigbar cackling in the back]). vanitas started a rivalry with sora bc they have the same haircut (which in turn is modeled after a popular tv actor).
sora burps at the table once and ansem’s marked him as Not Good Enough for his son.
have you watched rosemary and thyme? it's a murder mystery show about two women who just want to do gardening but keep accidentally solving mysteries, and it's very fun.

Like, I won’t mind Isa rekindling his relationship with Lea because they have much more history together, but all Xion knew was Saix and Saix was flat out abusive towards her.
It puts a bad taste in my mouth how this series keeps pairing the girls with their abusers (Axel and Kairi, Xion and Saix, Namine in and literally everyone aldjhf...) with a vague “they made up! off-screen! just accept that theyre all friends now and there’s no hard feelings!!”
