Ran was inconsolable. Hearing the truth about Kouki like that, discovering he’d been lying to her face the whole time, she couldn’t emotionally handle the strain. Her emotions warred in a million different directions. Hatred, sadness, anger, hysteria, utter terror. She couldn’t pick any one of them. She was just so disgusted.

Ran leaned over the side of her podium and threw up, tears streaming down her face as she sobbed and nearly choked on the vomit.

“Liar,” she managed to choke out, barely even above a whisper. She couldn’t breathe long enough to get any strength to her voice. Everything hurt and her body was shuddering. How could she have been so stupid, so naive a second time? Memories of Satsuki and all of those horrible things she did to her came back all at once and she let out a strangled wail, gripping onto the sides of her head for support and partially leaning over her podium.

She thought she was ready to start trusting people again. Kouki had never been her favorite person, or even a real friend to her, but she thought, just this once, she could trust someone again. But she was wrong. It was all just a lie. Kouki was just another liar. Everyone was a liar. Everyone just wanted to use her for their own benefit.

And she’d just let him get away with it.

She didn’t know what to do, but she hated him. He’d gotten away with using her. And he still had that absolutely disgusting smile on his face while he did it. As though he was proud of what he’d done.

She clenched and unclenched her fists and gritted her teeth. 

“You motherfucker.” Wow, the first time she cursed during this whole game. Savor the moment, folks. “I told you everything. You know what she did to me. You should be able to understand how much I hate being tricked and lied to. You used me. You want to act like the good guy, you want to act like the winner, but you’re just scum. You say you wanted to ‘have some words’ with my manager, but you’re no better than her. You’re all just the same. Everyone in this room is the same. You just want to use me and lie to me. It’s all just been lies. None of you are really my friends, you’ve just been lying to me the whole time. No one in this room cares about me. No one has ever really loved me. You’re just liars. Everyone in here is a liar! But you, Kouki, you’re the worst one here. I’m glad Nanami-chan tortured you. I wish she’d managed to kill you. I hope you rot in jail when you get out of here. I hope you burn in hell, just like everyone else who’s used me and lied to me. You’re disgusting. You’re repulsive! You’re the most disgusting person I’ve ever seen!”

She clenched her fists and more tears streamed down her face.

Towa had been…kinda right? Maybe? That was new, but she liked it, if the slight smile that returned to her face was any indication. “It makes sense…assuming the blue hair came from Kurihara-san, since I don’t see a way it could have come from someone else that isn’t, as I said, needlessly complicated…but please correct me if I’m wrong…” Did she want it to be Akiyuki? Did it matter? “The only one able to ‘frame’ him in such a way would be himself, right? But I could still be missing something, o-of course…please correct me if I’m wrong.”
