i was gonna rewatch / catch up on it & now i’m second guessing my choices

Jughead sat on the steps of his trailer, a half-eaten burger in one hand, notebook resting on his knee. The distant hum of motorcycles in the background as Archie approaches, his expression tense. He doesn’t look up right away, just keeps tapping his pen against the notebook "That’s never a great opener, Arch." Jughead finally glances up, eyes tired but alert. "Alright. I’m listening. What’s going on?"

"The things i did … it was a nightmare." (Jake & Amber)

"That’s not gonna happen — not as long as i’m around." (Billy & Hana)

Billy was down at the little convenience store at the entrance of the hospital. Sure, it was overpriced and everything looked like it went out of date centuries ago, but, it was something to do and something he could bring a part of back to his room if he played his cards right. He'd just been about to slip a little box of Junior Mints into the sleeves of his hoodie when Randy, of all people, caught his attention. "Well, shit." He smirked, brows raising in a far too casual greeting given how their last interaction had gone down. "Last time I saw you was….Oh yeah." His grin scrawled wider, showing his teeth. "What're you doing here, man? You know, coming back from the dead's getting to be a little overdone."

It was one of those foggy mornings where even just sitting outside had you frozen and soaked to the bone. Not that that stopped him from loitering around the hospital grounds. Billy was allotted a couple hours outside time every day and there was no amount of minor discomfort that would get between him and the potential for anything interesting to happen. He'd been sitting on a metal bench for a while now, squinting at just about anyone and anything that moved. It was only once he'd had enough of being someone else's target that he finally spoke up, as if he hadn't been doing the exact same thing mere moments prior. "What's your deal, huh?" He barked across the pavement. "You're staring like you've seen a ghost or some shit. You're not that hot, quit acting like you got my number."

Billy lay handcuffed to the bed, his wrist going a little purple from how harshly he'd been treating it. His face was a ragged mess of cuts and gashes across his cheeks and the bridge of his nose. The sting burnt his eyes, making him unable to see without a teary haze. In a way, he knew he deserved it. He'd just murdered the son of of the mayor's wife. Though, he hadn't known that at the time, it definitely sounded better on paper. His broken ribs throbbed from where the boy's mother had rushed to his defense, only for it to already be too late. But, she was the reason he was here now, and he wasn't going to forget that anytime soon.

The door opened and Billy's head tilted to one side, blinking until his vision was clear enough to squint an image worth looking at out of. "Who the hell are you?" He asked, tensing up. "What do you want? You a reporter? A cop?" His paranoia began to gnaw at him, slightly worried she'd been sent to finish the job. It wasn't as if the mayoral family couldn't afford to hire someone to do their dirty work. "Whatever this is…I don't care. Alright? Just get out." He snapped at her, tone defensive but not entirely hostile. There was a fear in his eyes that betrayed his performance. His teary eyes stayed locked on her, cuffed hand tense against the pull of the restraint, as if there was still half a chance he could claw his way out of this nightmare.
