      Lunch always dragged on for Zim as he poked at the horrible slop he was served, but today in particular it felt as if it would never end. This child had been sitting near him for quite some time now, squishy little eyes boring into him. The last human that sat this close to him was Keef, and the last human that stared at him like this was Dib. The thought that there was a human worm on this planet that had attributes of both of them was enough to make his already cold blood run freezing. Who was this child? Did he think he was Zim’s friend, or had Dib finally convinced someone that Zim was an alien? He wasn’t sure which of those scenarios he dreaded more, and it wasn’t as if he could interrogate the boy in a full cafeteria... 

But after a certain point, he just couldn’t take it anymore.

She rarely went back to the pile of wood and aluminum she once called home. Her hastily mad shack in the woods, stolen ship at it’s underground core, a relative mess of brightly colored wires and wood as mismatched as the girl’s life. The hoard was not gone, but it was significantly smaller in size, with animals and looters having taken the majority of what Hal called ‘valuables’. She’d since found more to fill Zim’s attic with, she always was good at finding things.

Zim had forbid her from going back. Zim forbid her from doing many things she did on a daily, hourly, basis. Needless to say, his warnings didn’t hold much weight.

Was he worried she would fix the crashed ship and leave? 

It was almost a theory she wanted to test. Almost. Perhaps even too cruel for her; to escape for the mere purpose of seeing how much her Irken companion worried. She could be content to wonder for now. 

She simply needed a few things. That was it.

The door opened with a creak, the Vortian girl stepping in and dropping her messenger bag on the ground with a plop as she did everywhere she went; only to see a familiar form laying on the ground.

What gossip could the Malot possibly have to spill today? Did it have something to do with poor, innocent Gretchen getting her pigtail caught in her locker and accidentally ripping it off trying to free it? Maybe. Vix personally found it rather humorous, and she was sure Dib would too. 

There was just some kid in her way. How was she meant to get to Dib with this kid in her way? Easy, a simple shove, and he was cast aside. Perfect.

“Oh Monsieur Diiib! You vill never believe vhat-”

Her sing-song voice was cut short. Stumbling forward, arms stretched out just in time to prevent landing face first on the ground, she could only widen her eyes in shock and whip her head around to catch sight of what, or who, tripped her up.

It was him. 

why  did  zim  make  him  come  here?  this  seems  like  an  utter  waste  of  time  ...  well,  he  just  has  to  make  it  through  today,  &  he’s  sure  the  other  irken  will  forget  about  it  &  let  him  do  whatever  he  wants  by  tomorrow.  still,  he’s  forced  to  try  &  fit  in  for  now.  ❝  today’s  my  first  day  at  ...  skool.  ❞  kill  him  now.

“You think that’s what I want from you or something?” she cocked a brow, magenta eyes narrowed, “I mean, hey like, if you’re offering that’s cool but… I’m not asking. Maybe do the whole self protecty thing before you do the me protecty thing.” that sentence made sense, right? She didn’t care, she was going with it.
