#trenchwing

This is Sealion. His story is that he was found as an egg on the edge of a trench cliff. He was taken in by a SeaWing family and raised among them. He's beloved for his singing voice which has an alluring quality to it. Unfortunately he can't speak Aquatic as he cannot light up his stripes. At least that's what the SeaWings think. Truthfully he instinctively doesn't since the glow has a hypnotic effect to it which is what his subspecies, DeepSeaWings use to lure in prey. He's a rather judgemental fellow, finding the whole war and prophecy to be utterly stupid and complicated. He's aware of his true heritage and returned to his Tribe during the early years of the War, something the SeaWings don't know. I like to imagine at some point he pisses off the wrong dragon and gets assassins sent after him, to which he baits them into the middle of the ocean and they get devoured by his giant wife as female DeepSeaWings are HUGE like anglerfish. Now for his design I based it off SeaWings with some changes to fit a subspecies; smaller gills, prehensile tail (mainly males have those), cheek... dangles? idk what to call them. Their wings only have two/three "fingers" unlike the normal four/five that the main Tribes have. Eventually I'll do a fact sheet on DeepSeaWings/TrenchWings.
