If youāre still doing the āwould you surviveā thing, iām a fine arts major. I sculpt, craft, sew, and write. I havenāt practiced much lately but i can play the guitar. Iāve got a cat thatās basically my familiar, looking after me like a small furry grey croaking nanny. There are doodles in most every margin of notes i have. I keep many secrets, some borrowed, some of mine, all kept forever.
You leave Elsewhere Universitymostly unchanged, and thatās fine. The one thing you take away is that you candraw flame away from a candle wick and weave it through your fingers likeothers can flip a coin. Nothing larger than a single candleflame; itās a smallgift and a secret one. But itās a comfort, nevertheless, a habit while yourthoughts are elsewhere. You do eventually give your partner a shock, years downthe line, when you reach out absently while cooking and a bit of blue flamefrom the propane stove eddies in your palm like a sleeping animal, but youāreable to brush it off as a half-forgotten party trick.
