'There is a medical journal- the Healer's Almanac- that the Council maintains and the College has access to, where every disease and malady is catalogued along with details of sources, symptoms, treatment, special factors and fatality. The Council reviews literature from across Tamriel and uses a working copy that indexes by province, while the official copy is re-indexed alphabetically each edition when new illnesses are discovered. Duplicate copies for distribution are shared out to the Mages Guild and religious chapters far and wide.'

'Restoration magic is most certainly used where appropriate and available, but for more modest ailments and injuries most healers use common alchemy and medicine.'

'Despite the College of Healers being quite secular, the Imperial Cult maintains their mutually beneficial arrangement with the College. Perhaps what is more interesting is the ratio of those among the priesthood who join and become recognised as healers. There is at least one or two in each Great Chapel of the Divines, but there are many adherents of Mara's teachings that make the College a point of pilgrimage, even.'

'Not all healers use restoration magic. Many make do with alchemical and medical treatment. In fact, restoration magic is usually used in place of first aid when available and appropriate. Where restoration is not viable, alchemy and medicine might do instead. The same could be said for the opposite. Our most versatile healers also happen to be the ones who are well-regarded in our fellowship.'

'The College of Healers has fellowships at most temples across Tamriel. For the betterment of the people, they study conditions and ailments and look for treatments and cures wherever they can. Our oaths as healers prohibit us from forcing patients through treatment or experimentation, regardless of how it might benefit our science.'

'The Combat Medic's Companion is a similar publication that is collaboratively curated by the Imperial Legion and the physicians of the Imperial Arenas. You won't find a more in-depth medical journal cataloguing and detailing a wide range of battle injuries and wounds, as well as best to worst treatments. Occasionally we contribute research that the Legion has interest in, but otherwise the Companion is always being revised and added to with any new documentation from field healers and arena physicians. There's even four different ways for relocating bones.'
