ok guys hear me out.. and please do so with an open heart. travis martinez had one of the best character developments in yellowjackets. it's subtle but he goes from being this macho man who was very much socialized to impose toughness i.e him being mysoginistic to nat in season 1 to seamlessly blending in with the girls and the wilderness. you can assume from the little that he opened up about to nat about it that his dad was a piece of shit that raised him with deep pressure to perform masculinity. then his dad died, his brother died and so did the pressure to be The Man. he started being socialized differently and breaking out of the gender norms that he felt so choked by in his coliving with the girls. now that i've defended myself and i wanna clarify i'm a lesbian too i think lottie nat and travis as a throuple would EAT harder than the girls ate jackie's body. i mean, the simultaneous tension and connection between them in the adult timeline (RIP) was so deep and we don't get enough of that in the teen timeline. i think the writers made a big mistake killing travis' adult character SO early in the season. it was ridiculous i mean THERE WAS SOME DEEP SHIT BETWEEN THEM 3 GOING ON. and the fact that natalie didnt believe in any of the wilderness shit yet she seemed so relieved to be there with lottie. and travis is the in between character struggling with the spiritual vs the cynical part of him which is lottie and nat, respectively. i mean lets not forget that when travis and nat finally had sex he was literally seeing VISIONS OF LOTTIE. and wheter you like it or not that was the closest we got to a lottienat sexual or even romantic scene. yes more so than the bathtub scene. was lottie doing astral projection bc she wanted to be there to fuck them?? who knows. i just know there's a lot of untapped potential there.
