“Never again. I ain’t lettin’ ya go for nothin’ in this world, Maggs.” Jimmy was lucky that Maggie still wanted him and loved him enough to forgive him after he’d not only pushed her away but cheated on her. He felt like the most disgusting example of a man to ever exist and yet she was still right there loving him. He didn’t know what he did to deserve her but he was just going to thank his lucky stars that he had her and be content with that. God knew she deserved better. “I’m gonna be kissin’ ya lots but it ain’t never gonna be goodbye again. ‘Les you’re the one leavin’ me.”

“An’ ya know what…” Hands slipped down to her tiny waist to pull her closer even if she was angry and might try to resist. “Ya ain’t go a damn thing ta worry ‘bout. 'An ya know why?” Fingers trailed up her side and he looked down into her hazel eyes. “Cause I only could never want anyone else. Only have eyes for ya, Maggie 'an no other woman compares.”

“Hey, it’s okay. No harm done.” Jimmy chuckled at how red her cheeks were. She was just so ashamed of herself over nothing. Maggie looked so damned adorable that all he wanted to do was pull her close and kiss her but that would just make things worse. “Least not in my opinion.” He gave her a playful wink and climbed down from the ladder. “All done. Ya were a really good assistant. Ya know minus the touching my butt part.” He teased. “How’s everythin’ look?” She’d wanted more light so he’d hung some brightly colored strands of bulbs along the ceiling of her tent.

“The important question is are ya sure that you’re okay with this. It’s not too late for me to gather a blanket an’ pillow an’ sleep on the floor.” It wouldn’t bother Jimmy one bit if it made Maggie feel more comfortable. He’d slept in much worse places than the floor of his trailer. Hell, he’d slept all over the grounds - literally - when he got so drunk he passed out on them.

“Nu-uh. Not drunk ‘gain…” He slurred. He wasn’t ‘just drunk’ he was completely wasted and in danger of falling over and passing out at any moment. It wouldn’t be the first time for that either. Lately, it had become an everyday thing. But who could blame him? His life was a complete dumpster full of shit - the only people that still cared about him was Maggie and the fat woman whose name he couldn’t even recall. Everyone else just saw him as a joke. Even the twins were tired of his shit and that was saying a lot.

“No, I ain’t been cryin’ an’ even if I was it ain’t none of your business.” He was still trying to push her away. In the end so wasn’t going to stay with him - no normie ever stayed with a freak and he knew it. She’d find a man that could give him so much more than he ever could. All the pretty ones did. It was better to get rid of her now than later when he was more in love with her. “Jus’ go ‘way, Maggie…” He wasn’t completely trashed yet but he had started drinking and was more than a little buzzed. Maggie was like a pesky fly at times so he doubted she was going anywhere.
