I find it hilarious how Godzilla x Kong reintroduces Bernie through an interaction with Ilene in which it’s heavily implied he has the hots for her, awkward romantic tension and whatnot. He is recovering from the death of his wife yknow. And then we get Trapper and he’s also implied as an old flame of Ilene’s. And then the rest of the film is just Bernie and Trapper being gay as hell with Bernie proclaiming he’d kiss Trapper on the mouth if he could. Reminder that Bernie is played by Brian Tyree Henry who played a gay man in Eternals who had an onscreen kiss with his husband.
