the time it takes to bloom (1/15)
For Katie, there are three distinct periods in her life - before-, during-, and after-Sean. It just so happened that the before- and after- periods also included Bill Goodman.
a fic inspired by Maisie Peters' Florescence
There were three times in life when Katie had felt completely and totally out of place, struggling to start over in a place where no one actually knew her. They were opportunities to reinvent herself, if she looked at them with an optimist's lens, and that was how she'd chosen to look at it, every single time. The previous version of her was never something she particularly liked, for different reasons during each move.
In moving from one small town to another, she thought there would be no risk. She'd met Sean during a weekend trip to Chicago, the tickets to a hockey game and a touring musical a birthday gift to herself using tips and meager paychecks she'd been collecting since college graduation. He'd been so kind, helping her get back to her seat when she got lost on a bathroom run during an intermission. They'd exchanged numbers, so she could text him.
Just in case you get lost again.
The words had been said with a wink and a smile, harmless and helpful, and she'd texted him the very next day. She'd had time to kill before the show, and having a local show her the best coffee shops and a hole in the wall bookstore was the best way she could think to do it. After that weekend, they'd kept in touch, and while the distance wasn't ideal, and it made her think about the high school boyfriend who had decided it would be better to break things off before they went away to school. As if Michigan wasn't so much closer than Chicago, and still in her same timezone. But Sean was at least trying, and it was a relief to feel like she wasn't the only one committed to something.

People on Tumblr love sharing information about themselves no matter how asinine it is. And I'm the same way. Everybody tell me what the last thing you drank was.

I am writing a 15-chapter former asset!Katie fic because I was left unattended with Maisie Peters for too long

hey! what do you think colin's favorite swift album is?
Hello, Adi!
So, Colin has three stock answers to this one when people ask:
Someone he doesn't know well/at all (ex: Kevin): I don't listen to Taylor Swift.
Someone he kinda sorta knows (ex: Sarah): Reputation
Someone he knows and trusts (ex: Bill, Toni, Katie): Lover
he gets closer to the truth the more he knows people, and that's important to me
