Nothing much was known about this person, only a few had seen them, much less spoken a word. There were 2 things every story had in common. A person would be seen riding a crimson wood boat down a river, and in some way their face was... off. Either obstructed from view, or when it was seen, scarred beyond recognition. They go by many names, from many cultures. Common tongue called them Amfudu, though they are also called Kiuyxu or Ayyofu. It's said they help lost souls who died unfairly reunite with their living relationships one last time before they pass on, along with helping the souls of lost adolescents no matter how they passed on.
