TCP A4E14 spoilers / general chaos spoilers

I swear to god every arc the main plotline going on it's high stakes enough as it is, but somehow Seir manages to "find" (being kind and not saying makes) a diabolical little trauma sidequest. Like, Arc 1: we gotta find the lost princesses in the burning sea of trees! What's Seir doing? Oh he's getting bodysnatched by the evil oil dragon. Arc 2: we have find out where all the gods went in the city of heaven before the demons take over!! How's Seir? Hongery af and pretending to be his deceased sister. Arc 3: we gotta figure how to unite the vampire lovers before the generational trauma repeats!! What's Seir got going on? Erm, an omen of his inevitable death looming over his head... Arc 4: Xainan leading us to our deaths looking for his lost lover on his dead homeplanet. Seir? Him? Ignoring his family, his needs, and straight up KILLING PEOPLE. Like... FATHER LIKE SON!!!!! Caveskipper-who? I don't know her, JUST LIKE I DON'T KNOW THIS DEAD STRANGER.

But y'know... if Xainan wasn't such a girldad this could have been curbed. Just a smidgen. Seir been saying daddy look at me twirl, leslie jordan gif, this one:

for four whole arcs in a row and has yielded absolutely nothing from it. While actively mirroring Xainan's behavior. I didn't forget "don't worry about [Seir]" "[Xainan]'s not." from the beginning of this arc, and I won't. Or Seir wanting to nuzzle into Xainan's touch when he was adjusting Seir's scarf to filter out dust. (I'm glad he didn't, not that he would, but I couldn't see Xainan reject him in that way. It would be heart wrenching) But also it makes me laugh when Xainan ignores Seir, it's cathartic, especially, while seeing Lumiera specifically be the object of Xainan's affections. Give that boy NO attention. Afterthought Son indeed.

#also I must say I do not consider Ying He to be in the Xainan's kids group.#Ying He is like Seir brought a friend home from school without asking for permission but he doesn't have any other friends #so Xainan makes himself comfortable with her.#transplanarposting #tcp
