Now this is awesome. 

If projection mapping upends the image from the generality of the screen then this has an even more dynamic effect on the generality of the surface. 

The ubiquitous screen as it exists now functions as a generic container for any kind of content. It has a single shape that all that is perceived through it must fit. With projection mapping this becomes more dynamic insofar that it becomes formally expressive. Form becomes an extension of content in a way that film has never been before. It's like the free verse of film. 

Facade mapping is more or less arbitrary and becomes more expressive of the object being projected upon which in itself anchors the intent of the author of the image. 

To create objects along with a projection allows for the projection and the object to influence one another in how the create images.
