Special Digital Screening 11th Anniversary of the Award Winning Trans Documentary “Trans Francisco” Exited to announce today, on the 11th Anniversary of the documentary “Trans Francisco", whiched World Premiere at the Prestigious Frameline 34 Film on June 19, 2010, we will be having a special 11 anniversary digital screening next weekend at the iHollywood Film Festival June 25-27. Directed and produced by Glenn Davis, Associated Produced by Tiffany Woods, and featuring one of the most diverse cast of trans women from the SF Bay Area to be seen on film at the time, the independently financed and produced documentary, five years in the making, is a historic time capsule of the SF Bay Area trans community from 2005-2010, and can now be measured on the changing, shifting times that have followed. Many of the same issues we shone a light on through personal stories are the same that trans communities are still facing today, 11 years later: targeted violence and murder, survival sex work, homelessness, family rejection, stigma and discrimination, visibility, anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ+ legislation. After the screening a panel of cast members will discuss the film, changes since, and the current state of trans equality. We filmed the panel reunion with Tiffany Woods, Miss Major Ladie Major, Cecilia C Chung, and Alexandra R DeRuiz. Unfortunately, Director/Producer Glenn and Theresa Sparks were unavailable to attend.
