Todays #30daysofpride is Miss Major Griffin-Gracy. @missmajor1 is a Stonewall veteran who has been an advocate for trans liberation since the 70s. She is retired but has worked with the @tgijusticeproject. Her work has helped make the lives of thousands of trans prisoners better! #MissMajorGriffin-Gracy has been fighting for #transrights for a long time. She has been incarcerated several times and that experience that steered her to the path of activism. As the former executive director of the #TransgenderVariantandIntersexJusticeProject, she worked to end the abuses that are targeted against gender nonconforming people in incarceration. #MissMajor was the topic of a film about her life titled #MAJOR! In 2019. Her most recent project is the #HouseofGG, which is a retreat for younger trans women to have a home and community.
