Just back from 4 days camping along the Arkansas River outside of Salida, Colorado. On our last full day @whatevnen took to the river for some fly fishing while I sat in hot pants on the shore and filled out my post cards to Patreon supporters. Yes, when the card says I’m writing you from the riverbank, I mean it. #TransFishing #ArkansasRiver #QueerCamping #SalidaColorado https://www.instagram.com/p/CSe7_fsrlNf/?utm_medium=tumblr

Model Carissa Pinkston made a mess of her career after she was called out for transphobic comments she made a few months ago. It all started
Ok this is messy. I mean this tea was both steeped too long and the water poured was too hot. But we need to talk about this, radblr.
So the story goes like this:
This girl didn't realize the minefield she walked into, resorted to desperation then lied to try to save her career, but guess what---She should not have had to. Her intial comments regarding gender vs sex were not cruel or mean or untruthful. She was stating biological facts. Gender is identity. Sex is anatomy. But, the way she randomly threw it out there though, seems to reflect what could have been her "peak trans" moment on the internet. She probably saw the same disgusting sh*t we see everyday on Tumblr and in UK & Canadian news. She acted on impulse.
Now, I disagree with her lying about being trans to cover her tracks, but who wouldn't lol. It seems to be the only state protected status in the western world. Black folks still get shot by police+bumpkins with no repercussion. Women can still watch their rapists walk free. But if you are a trans identified male (they don't care about transmen. See recent school shooter case misgendering saga) the world drops everything and bows.
Hunter Schaffer, whom I like by the way, should have taken this moment to talk to "her friend" and perhaps even start some dialogue, but the silence reveals what's really happening: nobody likes this minefield. Not even transwomen.
And weird... all these black news sites unequivocally worship and serve the agenda (blavity, afropunk, madame noir, etc) without realizing how freaking dangerous that is for black womens rights.
Transgenders are a "third gender". What is so wrong about that? People of color in other places understand this and this helps protect them with special protections just for them without hindering womens (see Southeast Asia and the Pacific, ancient Native American and African cultures etc).
