Apparently Chelsea wants to sign Mel. If this is true, it only shows how little this club wants to invest in the success of the women's team. In a season where we will be coming up against literally Alexia Putellas – and not least a renewed and confident City side – we need depth and experience. Andrea Medina is a great signing and I'm sure our academy products will fare well but to let go of a star player (into the hands of already dominant league rivals!!!) is the last thing we need.
