#transediting

‘Transediting’ is the process of simultaneously ‘translating’ and ‘editing’ a text. That’s exactly what Dutch powertwins Clean Pete did with 9 of their all-time favourite popsongs, ranging from Carla Bruni to The Buzzcocks. I recorded and mixed the songs in my ASociety studio. Needless to say, I also played a little guitar on the album. And.. on one of the songs Tim van Delft from De Staat plays drums (oh yeah, see photo for proof).

The album’s title is ‘Er is mij verteld’. (In transediting mode that would result in ‘So I’ve been told’.)
