TRANSBPD TIPS
EDIT: I JUST REALIZEDI ANSWERED THE WRONG ASKKK IM SO SOOSOSO SORRY, I'LL GET WITH YOUR REQUEST IN A MINUTE, CHECK IT ON MY PROFILE !! (╥﹏╥)
Intense emotions (but not constant “drama”)
Feelings swing quickly and deeply, joy to despair in minutes.
Small events can feel huge: a text not answered might feel like total rejection. Meanwhile, horiffic situations like car crash may feel like a joke
Show emotional reactions that are big for the situation, but not random.
2. Fear of abandonment
Even small signs of distance can feel threatening.
You might cling, apologize excessively, or lash out to “test” if someone will stay.
Example: “You say you care, but you’ll leave like everyone else, right?”
3. Shifting identity or self-image
They might change how they talk, dress, or what they like depending on who they’re with.
Sometimes they feel “empty” or like they don’t know who they are.
Example: “I don’t even know what I want. Yesterday I was sure, now I hate it.”
4. Black-and-white thinking (splitting)
People are either perfect or terrible, no in-between, and it can flip fast.
Example: “You’re the only one who understands me.” → “You’re just like the rest!”
5. Impulsivity under stress
Quick decisions about spending, sex, substances, or risky actions.
In real life, this can appear as sudden changes of plan or emotional outbursts that surprises ene yourself.
6. Emptiness and self-soothing
You might feel a constant void and try to fill it through connection, thrill, or self-harm
You can show this through dialogue: “I just need to feel something. Anything.”
Emotional expression
Use contrasts: one scene deeply affectionate, next one withdrawn or angry.
Let feelings come fast, fade fast, and sometimes contradict.
Interpersonal style
Attach quickly; idealize others at first.
Take rejection or distance very personally.
Apologize, plead, or push away — sometimes in the same conversation.
Inner thoughts
Often self-critical, scared of being “too much.”
Use internal monologue or dialogue to show that — “I always ruin everything.”
What to Avoid
Don’t make yourself violent or manipulative for shock value, that’s a misconception.
Don’t equate BPD with “crazy ex” or “unstable villain.”
