*peeks in again* here me out: Amity singing this is home by cavetown
ANON I ADORE THIS SONG- fvbdhksbgd I have it in one of my oc playlists and it ABSOLUTELY fits Amity too :O
Just because of the songs massive trans vibes, I’m gonna roll with Trans!Amity/Armyn while I ramble
Okay it’s ABSOLUTELY a song he’s loved since he first heard it, a few years before he even figured himself out. The song just hits different.
It probably gets stuck in his head at complete random, and he’ll be humming it while he does things at home.
Ed and Em probably poke a bit of fun for how much he likes the song... like older siblings do. They all know it’s harmless fun, and the twins probably enjoy the song too.
Sometimes people hear the song coming from the romance section of the library. It’s faint and hard to make out, but if you listen, it’s noticeable. Because Armyn absolutely just plays it quietly while he reads or writes in his journal.
He likely mumbles the lyrics to himself when he feels terrible. A good example would be during the Covention after Lilith was exposed for cheating.
Luz absolutely heard it but he tries to play cool like he wasn’t quietly singing. Luz rolls with it.
While Luz carries him to the nurses office after he gets injured in grudgeby, she’s kinda rambling cause thats just what Luz Does, and off handedly says “You should sing more, your voice is pretty.”
Armyn, already kinda freakin it cause he’s both injured and being held by his crush can’t even get out words. His face is just red and he’s blubbering trying to get something out and it’s not working.
Luz somehow understands this blubbering and explains that they heard him at the covention. And mentions that she likes the song too.
When they’re together properly they’ll listen to it together, both just mumbling the lyrics. Luz is more confident and totally willing to just sing it loud and proud and terribly, but she stays chill for Armyns comfort.
Til he figures himself out, comes out, then Eda and King have to deal with two trans kids screaming this song at the top of their lungs at midnight.
At least they sing better than Hooty.
